Let her do her thing and help her out. You may not appreciate it now but you will in a few years and learning to care for yourself, especially as a boy, is important.

My mother was and still is the same way. I think it is OCD, Obsessive, compulsive disorder. Talk to her in a kind way and tell her that there are better things to do in life than clean; thats what I always tell my mom. Ask your mom why she's so obsessed? Its about something else and not just having a clean house. Can she hire a housecleaner so you can spend time with your mom? Tell her how great it will be when you grow up that your memories will be of housecleaning....

Perhaps u should pick up after ur selves instead of complaining. People that apprecate their lives and parents hard work to support them, show it by being a FUNCTIONAL FAMILY. Not getting on the internet saying their Mother drives them nuts! Do some of the work so she CAN RELAX enstead of being self ubsorbed and self centered. Kids today realy are disrespectful........u have it made. When I was 6-17 years old I had chores that HAD to be done. If they were not done I got my *** beat. And if i dared to talk back I would have been knocked into next tuesday. Get off ur butts and Help the woman!!!

Sounds like it's something deeper within herself...........

She has to keep moving as she's feeding on whatever may be bothering her.

Some people smoke, some drink. some do drugs, ect . She cleans..............could be worse.

Be paitent and loving to her. Sure she is doing the best she can be as a parent.
Grown-up's don't always have all the answer's either. They don't come with directions/instructions.

We learn all the time, no matter how old we are.

Try holding her / giving her a hug and tell her you love her. She could learn from you also. There is no age limit to what our hearts say to us.

try and just keep the house clean and pick up after yourself once u've made a mess. then the work load seems lighter. if she's still cleaning when there's no need to, point it out and talk to her about either picking about 1 day out of the week to make sure things are spotless, or having chores chart 4 u and ur sibs. it makes everthing narowed down to about 1 or 2 chores a day. it's a lot less work that way.

Sounds like some OCD going on.

If such is the case, she needs professional help, the ahrd part is convincing her that she has a problem.

Start keepign track fo how much time she alctually cleans, down tot he minute if you can, after a month or so, pull out your log and sit her down, show her how many hours of family time, and personal time were taken away for the sake of a few dust bunnies.....:)

Try to get some help for her. Can you ask your dad or some other close relative? More than likely she does have OCD. Find out if there are any support groups in your area to help you to understand what is going on with Mom. There is some wonderful medication to help her, but she needs to see her doctor.
