So, assuming that the shower will be hosted by the bridesmaids, but held at the home of the bride's grandmother (who is very gracious and has a lovely space for the event)...Who should greet the guests? Should it be one of the bridesmaids? The Grandmother? Another family member who will know all of the guests? What is the appropriate etiquette here?

nervous about getting married?? You know like, you are so very happy and excited about your wedding but the nerves are getting to you?!! I feel soooooo nervous!!! My stomach churns when I think of it. What can I do to stop feeling so nervous??

I'm 22 yr old female and for the life of me I can't seem to get close to ppl. i have friends, all of whom live far away. So clearly I am capable of making friends. And I do have ppl I go out with occasionally but no close friends in the area that I can hang out with on a regular basis and I cant seem to make new friends.

I guess my main thing is I get along with guys easily always have; mainly because I mostly grew up around boys. I would really like to have a few girlfriends in the area to hang out with, go to happy hr, shop, workout with, talk, etc. but again I just cant seem to develop a friendship with girls. It’s not like I call them all the time, or am rude or unfriendly.

I call them randomly from time to time to say hi and I get nothing in return, mainly girls but even this one guy. Its like they call me back when I call and say yea we should hang out and sound sincere about it but they don't call me back again. I'm starting to feel like a leper. :-(

My boyfriend has another girlfriend. The three of us get along very well. We go on vacation together. He and she do things together. Me and Him do things together. Me and her do things together. The three of us went to Bora Bora and had a commitment ceremony together. We have been together for five years now. Everything is going great. We have a house and a condo. That way if the two of them want to be alone or me and him want to be alone, we go there. At first, we had three residences and decided to stop paying rent at one place. He would stay with her a few nights a week and the same with me. There is no jealousy. There is another young lady that he has met and had dinner with a few times. We met her and really like her a lot. We feel everything is ideal. We are all really happy. There of course are some problems as with all couples, life finances and stuff. What do you think about this?

Ok hi people, i really need help! i`m fixing to have to go to court..Because of what my step sister did to our family. It`s not over yet what happened it was just based on a lie! Well i have to go to court in tell my side of the story..In like Idk! i don`t really wanna do it. But i`ma get money for it. My bro in law & i have always had a love and hate relaionship. After his marriage .. we dint fight for awhile but things came back to normal soon. we live in joint family . few days back his wife was unwell and i fetched the med's he had needed for her and he was rather rough with me . he indirectly threw me oout of the room. followed by mild insults following day .

yeah ..he was a great friend and maybe he is important but im just not sure i can take this any more. its my birthday in 2 days . so he is trying to patronize. im little sick so he cooked eggs for me and woke me and wanted to feed me.( hubby was with our kids..he knew about the eggs) but i denied and said i'l have them .
i feel extremly used .. is it fair to treat someone always acc to your whims ??

Do you think i did right ..not eat from his hands???

Ok I got married 4 months ago and was pregnant. We had been trying for over a year to have a baby though so it was everything I wanted. Well I had a miscarriage and long story short I was so depressed I cheated on my husband with my ex boyfriend. Well we both decided it was a mistake and to keep it quiet but today I get a message on myspace from his mother! Telling me that she is going to find a way to contact my husband and tell him everything and if I text, call, message or anything to my ex that I will be "finished" That's what she said. I am worried sick. It's been like 2 months since the affair. I love my husband and don't want him to leave me. I'm not sure if there is a way she could find to contact him. Should I wait it out or come clean with everything first. The reason I didn't tell him in the first place was because I swore to myself never to do it again and realized it was the past why hurt my husband who loves me so much with pain........now I wonder if I should tell him??

i put a post on hear the other day about my ex well i let him come round to see kids but he ended up spending more time with me than the kids he told me he loved me more than his girlfreind loads of other crap we slept together again then after he just slagged me of he started pussing me around cause he couldnt find his shoes i just lost it as its not the forst time he has hurt me i ended up trying to slash his tires and hanging off the side off his van trying to get his door open i feel just as bad as him for doing that now the kids prob wont see there father no more and its all my fault cause the way i carried on iam at the moment on antidepressents and waiting to see a councilor to see why i keep wanting him back and letting me do this to me even after what he done i still love him and want him back i should not feel like this towards a man that has cheated on me loads a man that kurts me should i i feel so bad for my kids i no i should just forget him and move on

My cousin planned on taking a trip in Sept. from the 5th to the 9th to South Beach....now with a child entering the 1st grade I thought I would be able to go on the trip and return in time for the first day of School but I just yesterday learned that in NYC school is starting on Sept 4th this year (earlier then I thought)......Now I can't go but she's telling me to get someone else to watch her so I can go on the trip.....I'm not missing my daughter's first week of school just so I can go to South Beach cause SHE needs a vacation.....Why doesn't she understand that that's no one elses responsibilty but my own??? Why is she being so selfish?? She's Mad at me cause she wants to go but her daughter isn't in school yet and she doesn't understand....

Do you think I'm just being over protective? My mother in law wants us to allow my 7 and 5 year old boys to fly ALONE from Indiana to Florida. She said she'd pay for a flight attendant to watch them during the flight.
I'm terrified of them going without my husband or I and I'd never forgive myself if something happend to them! I'd never keep her from seeing my sons but while she is in town but she moved to Florida after my kids were born (after saying she'd never move away from her grandkids like her mother did) so it's her own fault she doesn't see them so much!
When she did live her she watched my oldest son when he was a few months old while I was at work and was gone for hours after I got home from work without leaving a note or phone # or anything... we had no idea where they were.. I just don't think she knows them well enough to keep them that long and wouldn't keep a good enough eye on them while they were there... Am I in the wrong?

But the fact is that he is already talking to other girls and lying about it to his girlfriend, even though he hasn't officially broken up with her. Hasn't she already "lost" him, at least in the emotional sense? Would it be worth it to even stay with him. I say no. Your thoughts?

I have been with my boyfriend for about 2 months, and he still hasn't kissed me. He has never kissed a girl before and I think he is nervous but I can't wait around forever!
I think he feels under pressure because I have kissed somebody before and he hasn't, he says he wants to but we never have any physical contact with each other.
I could never break up with him over this, I like him 2 much!!!

My wedding is outdoors....so since I don't want to have my heels "sinking" into the ground NOR do I want to have a heel catch on a grassy patch and trip me up, I'd like to find a nice pair of white wedge heels.

Everything I find looks like a "beach" or "summer" shoe w/the brown/straw/hemp heel.
Anyone know where I can find some cute/dressy wedge heels?
(And also that won't cost MORE than my dress?)
