your boyfriend wants you to make out with your best friend that he has never met?

It's degrading when the girlfriend doesn't want to do it and feels pressured to make out with her best friend to please her boyfriend. (like he puts her down, or threatens to break up with her for not doing it) You should never be forced or pressured to do something that you really do not want to do.
If the boyfriend suggested in passing, but dropped it if the girlfriend said that she didn't want to do it, I don't think it's degrading.

I would find it very degrading. I would probably dump him. I'm not into all of that kinky stuff. One man, one woman.

Ask him if it would be okay if you made out with your best male friend. It would be crossing the same boundaries.
