well i presume you mean kissing, cuddling, touching.
this in the adult sex world and in a relationship is other wise known as fore play.
it basically means arouisng the person you are with enough to want to have sex.
its all part of a loving relationship.
not to be confused with a quick grope with a guy you wont see again , or girl come to that.
bide your time, you are very young, dont trust everthing you hear
dont go for under age sex, dont give away your virginity,
do keep it for some one who is very special.

The same thing that playing catch has to do with professional baseball.
Both are fun, but one is more fun than the other. You have to do the first to do the second. No one gets paid to do the first, but there are many professionals who are paid to do the second ;)

It just makes things sweeter I think. Sometimes you don't really want all the ooey gooey, you just want to screw your brains out. But when you want it nice and romantic, the making out gets it going.
