I just wanted to get an idea of how long some of you (adults) have been single.

I've been single for almost a year now. I guess its mostly a solitude thing. I was with my ex for 3 years. People always ask if I get lonely, but I really don't think about it until someone asks. Most of my friends are married or engaged so I guess I'm feeling a bit left out. I don't put a lot of stock in the instiution of marriage, but I guess I do want a healthy committed relationship.

How many of you are single? Why and how long? I'd like some honest answers from adults. It's strange because I haven't come across a lot of single women lately. Is it easier for a woman to deal with solitude?

I've been dating this guy since March. I thought he's a nice guy and is really into me. He drive 2 hrs to pick me up to dates and then 2 hrs back home. He pays for the tickets, the meals. And took lots of pics on me during dates. Plans the next dates and call me frequently...But he doesn't kiss me or tried to hold my hands. Recently he told me he's going to another State to visit his family and maybe goin g to stay there for a while (he has a 6 week vacation from work, he's a teacher). He may even stay there for more than 6 weeks just "depends". I've been asking him when he's leaving and how long he's planning to stay there he keeps saying "i don't know. i'll probably come back though." My bday is coming soon and i asked if he's going to be here but he said he would prob leave before my bday. he said he didn't think about it. He did ask me if I would like to go with him and stayed there for couple weeks but I didn't make up my mind yet. I am confused, i feel like he's playing me.

i had a very big engagement party that cost me alot, now am starting to prepare for my wedding, but my fiance is the one whos paying, so i dont want him to do an expensive party, and my mum wants a big party.
what should i do? i need suggestions in how i can make my mum happy and same time dont spend much.
i thought we could do the ceremonies and then go out with close friends somewher to have dinner and then we can travel to our honeymoon.but my mum doesnt want this.
any suggestions?

My daughter is 5 yrs old. and incredibly intelligent. I told her today that her dad isnt her real dad..i told her in a way that would make some bit of sense to a 5 yr old and she took it very well.
I just didnt want her to find out later or me tell her later and her feel like her life was a lie. And trust me, she will remember that I told her, she still remembers things I have said and done from 2 yrs ago.
would you have told your child at this age?

I broke up with my girlfriend because she doesn't trust me at all. She said that she doesn't understand that trust is a huge part of a relationship. Then she asked me why should she trust me and I told her about how I have been faithful since the beginning and all.

So then i asked her why i should trust her and she said "you can't and i never asked you to"...

So as much as I love her...does it sound like it is really over?

The pictures were dated last week and it was on the day he said he's "going out with the guys". There were a few pictures of them at Disneyland and he had his arms around her. They both were wearing matching Mickey ears. So put two and two together, he's obviously up to no good.

My mother and I have had alot of rough times in the past, she doesn't like the man I am going to marry. When I was 14 she kicked me out of the house and chose her then husband over me. Long story short she knew what he had done to me, and still chose him over me. We still fight to this day, infact my last words to her were " your a bit**, drop dead and lose my number!" Do I still have a responsibility to her to invite her to my wedding?

I met this guy online and we hit it off immediately. We have a lot in common and would chat for hours. We talked for about a month before meeting in person. Our first date (first meeting) we immediately noticed we had chemistry. We actually had to stop because I thought we were moving too fast. The next date we stayed at his place and watched a movie and it was like a repeat of the first date.

My question spawns because I tried to ask him about what he wants in a relationship and all he would tell me is that he thinks they should be fun and he doesn't have room for drama in his life. I really like this guy. So, how long should I wait before bringing up actually becoming bf/gf and exclusive so that it doesn't see like I'm pushing him into something too fast?

I have a boyfriend who I have been with since the end of april. He is my WORLD. We recently started talking about what we are going to do after we're out of high school, he asked me if i was still planning on going to college in california (where i grew up). I told him that if I got accepted into a college down there than maybe, and he said oh ohkay, then he looked down and away. He asked, well what's going to happen to us then? i told him "Well, if i do get in, then you can come and live down there with me." If i don't get in however, I'm going to stay here and we're getting an apartment<3.
Now that you can pretty much guess how mush he means to me, I want to do soemthing for him that will show him how much he means to me.I can't really do much, I'm 15 and don't really have a source of money income, but I just want to show him how much he really means to me. Do you think a wife should be lucky that she doesnt need to work or shes not force to work by her husband ? I am a liberated woman,i have that thinkin that woman or wife should have a career of their own.But living in Asia where theres very small options.I dont have a choice for great jobs unless i would want to be a factory worker or a supermarket lady. I myself hate the nickname "babe". To me, hearing it is more unbearble than the thought of having a nude Larry King in sad clown makeup, tie strap an aborted baby to his foot and then curbstomping my head into a port-a-potty's seat.

Both of my sisters have always used this nickname, even when in the same place. It makes me want to kick hobos.

Just a question, My son's friend got kicked out of home last night by his mum,he is only 14
Now i said he could stay the night
I have no phone number to call the parent so i drove down to his home to let them know he was ok and safe
No one answered the door there was some one home - I waited a few minutes to see if any one was going to answer the door but no one did
I have now got to go to work to day but will try again before i go to let the mother know her son is with us and safe.
What would you do ?
