I'm 24 and I've been out of her house for about 6 years. I don't have a particularly great relationship with her. She is verbally/emotionally abusive so when she calls, I like to avoid answering the phone. I'e tried rationally talking to her but whenever I try, she says "good grief! can't you just grow up?" I hate being around her and in the past 2 days, she's left 4 voicemails on my phone. I just don't want to talk to her because when I do, she makes me so depressed. I know this sounds horrible but I just don't want to deal with all the emotional baggage. Should I just cut my ties with her? It's taken a considerable amount of therapy when I moved out to be emotionally stable. When I talk to her, it feels like I'm back at step one...What should I do? If I cut ties with her, should I call her and tell her not to contact me or should I just ignore when she calls? I'm at the end of my rope dealing with her. What do you think???

Leaving Money Out of This, I just want people's opinions on Buffet style weddings vs. Sit Down.

Which do you prefer?
Do you think a buffet is tacky?

I'm having an evening wedding, complete w/ cocktail hour. Is a buffet not suitable for an evening wedding.

Opinions. Again, leaving money out of it. Money is not the question here. I just want opinions on the actual food, presentation, etc.

I have known my crush for 4 months now and him and I have liked each other the first day we saw each other. He's been trying to trick me into saying I like him but I cath him doing it. Like tonight he walked over to me and asked me who is the best looking guy in this picture that was in front of him and I and the thing is he's in that picure and I went huh? then he changed what he said to me and said where am I at in that picture? It's like when he wants me to tell him I like him I freeze up I get scared and it won't come out of my mouth to tell him I like him. I can tell other people I like him but I can't tell him to his face. I know im scared of being rejected by him and he teases me and I tease him and we both flirt with each other like crazy. He wants me to let him I like him but how can I do that? I want to let him know but I don't know how

My divorce will be final in September. I am here with no family or friends, and it seems clear to me that I will be stuck here by means of a permanent geographical restriction when the divorce is final, something they like to do in Texas, seemingly. How can they force a struggling single mom to stay in the county when her family and support system is in another state? What can I do to avoid it? It would be damaging to my survival to be forced to stay here. Yes, I have a lawyer, and I have not heard anything yet that I've wanted to hear. There must be a way. Note: Our child is 3 years old and father lives here, my entire network of family is in California, where I can also live with my mom for free and raise my daughter in a loving environment.

Chris Benoit killed his wife and son, then himself. His wife had previously filed for divorce, but later withdrew. Friends are saying she wanted her son to be with both parents. Do you think people stay for the kids too often and end up hurting rather than helping them?

I have a brother-in-law who talks all the time. He will monopolize a conversation and cut you off when you are speaking. He thinks he's always right, and voices his opinion even when I have not asked for it. On top of all that, he's controlling and a dictator... telling people what to do all the time.

I dread when he visits because I don't like being around him. He's annoying. I thought it was me but others have expressed their concern and agree with all of the above.

Any advise is much appreciated.

Is EVERYONE THAT unhappy with their marriage?! It's really sad... I'm sure alot of these ppl that are complaining about their spouses really truly love them when it comes right down to it, so what's the deal? Why spend so much of your life complaining about the love of your life instead of telling ppl how happy he/she makes you?! Just curious to see what everyone else thinks about this. Is everyone as disturbed as I am? I'm not saying I'm not guilty of this myself because I am... and I DO really love that wonderful man that I married! I love the way he knows what I like in bed without me having to tell him. I love the way he laughs, I love the silly things he says... I love how determined he is to take care of his family, even when it's hard to get out of bed at 2am to go to work! I love that man! Tell me what you love about your spouse... =)

It's the most frustrating situation in my life. I'm married to a man who loves me, but I DON"T LOVE HIM. IT's a really long story of how I married, but to wrap it up, I intended to divorce him, was in the process of it, then found myself to be pregnant. I stayed for the child... Big Mistake... here I am, many yrs later... NOT HAPPY... We get along ok, but I Can't stand him touching me.. I finally stopped faking it, I feel freer now... but still married, so now what?? Do I get a divorce, or stay for the kids??? To even think of staying 10 more years is like a sentence to me... UGH!! He's not an awful guy, I just don't love him...Some people aren't meant to be more than friends. Yes I know that sounds cold, and it probably is... but to tell the whole story would explain ALOT...

Put it this way, I was ignored for all those yrs!! Now he's paying attention to me. People thought I was a Single Mom til Now!!
We have seperate rooms, the kids are fine with it..So do I stay?? Thanks

I know I asked already but I left out an important detail.

My fiance' cheated on me with a girl he dated 3 years ago. He said it "was only" sex.

They exchanged 300 emails while he and I were dating and engaged. He asked to see her more than the one time they had sex. He asked about 6 other times and they discussed getting together 3 other times. He asked see her again and spoke to her continously after they slept together. She told him she wouldn't see or talk to him anymore if he ws seeing me, and he tried to get her attention as she pulled away. He told her we were engaged and she told him they should never speak again. After our engagement he still tried to get her attention.

When I found out, I called off the engagement/relationship but when it came out he tried to justify it as "only sex."

From a male point of view, could it just be about sex? My understanding of it just being about sex, it would be a get in, get out and get gone. This to me is not that.

The guy I like who likes me says he's physically and mentally attracted to me. This leads me to believe not emotionally, but since he's not an emotional person, "emotions are dead to me," he says, should I consider this good since he's attracted to me in a way that counts to him since he's a logical person? Or should I be insulted that it's not enough to have emotion for me?

How is a girl supposed to know if a guy is asking for sex to use her or because he wants a relationship. At how many days or weeks into meeting a girl does a guy consider her a serious girlfriend and not just using her? I need to know because I can never tell if a guy likes me or not. And what was they usual "first time" length for a girl you have had a previous relationship with in the past?
