i've been seeing a wonderful man who happens to be a software engineer which means he is on contracts most of the time. his current job moved him very far away from me therefore we broke up. the problem is that i really want to stay with him and the distance is just a challenge for me. i honestly do love him very much and i see potential in our relationship, what do i do????

Try to move on. If you can't seem to fall in love after 2-3 years then you were in love.

contact him and tell him how you feel, see if you 2 can arrange something.. but make sure you think it over first... make sure that you are not just going to get hurt in the end!! if you are in love its worth giving it a shot but.
i realized i was in love, when my partner was the only one i could think about. when i was away from him i felt lost and empty and when i saw him i felt complete.. i realized i was in love when i knew i was going to spend the rest of my life with that man -- no matter what obstacles we had to cross.
