also, i kissed my girlfriend on the cheek, and she hugged me and squeezed me hard, what does this mean?

The hug ansd the squeeze was her showing that she liked it, and likes you too. Whether or not its time to take it just a little further - on the lips - depends on how comfortable you feel, and if you think she wants too. Just take it slowly, and you should be alright.

if its her first kiss ever, yes, chances are, like everybody else, she would be very nervous. shed probably appreciate it if you kissed her first - girls are more comfortable with their male counterpart initiating that sort of thing. the intense hug probably means she really likes you, and wants you to kiss her on the lips. you should have taken your chance then, and planted one!
