He was abused as a toddler by his uncle and a male babysitter. He remembered about it three years ago. I still love him very much, we still communicate and he says that I'm a big part of his life and cares very much about me. I am very confused and I think he is too. When he needs to talk, he calls me. But he found somebody else. I don't know if I should wait for him or go on with my life. He was always good to me and I didn't know we had a problem. All I think about is him and it's been seven months. I realy hurt inside.

Have you ever gone into a bridal shop, and tried on a gown and it fit perfectly? Or did you have to have alterations? And if so, who was the designer.

I'm just curious.

we are looking for a minister to marry us at our informal wedding, at my moms home. we found a woman with a reasonable price. and she seemed very nice when i spoke with her on the phone. i don't think i have a problem with a woman marring us. actually, i like the nontraditional idea. it just seems alittle odd. i normally think of a man preforming the ceremony. what are your thoughts?

my boyfriend and i have been together for seven months and yesterday was our anniversary. He is a very good boyfriend but there is one small problem. He believes that he shuld be my number one priority and I have no problem with that under surtain circumstances. This weekend i was out of town staying at a friend of a friend's house and yesterday they had a picnic andthere where guest over and it was as i had also mentioned me and my boyfriends anniversary. He calls me as im being introduded to all these people and I was trying to be a gracious guest and not talk on the phone. So I tell my boyfriend I'll call you back in an hour ,I m at a guest house and I don't want to be rude. so i before I can say anything else he hangs up on me. I call back and he wont answer the phone. I get pissed off immediatly and send him a text expressing my anger and he still doesnt reply back. later he argues w/me about how i should be his number one priority no matter what and that i shoulda talked to him.

I was wondering on how to deal with a grandparent who openly favors one grandchild over another? I have noticed before that my mother in law favors her older son; however after we had children it became obvious. My mother in law spends a lot of time with my niece and buys her expensive things, while my daughter gets cheap trinkets. My niece is 2 years old and my daughter is 8 month, so they are not at the age when they understand but I am wondering what to do long term. There were a couple of incidents that really affected me. First one happened couple of months ago. My daughter just had her shots and she was sleeping. We saw my mother in law with my niece at the park, my niece started to cry because she wanted to touch the baby. I refused to let her touch her, because my daughter would wake up and start to cry. My mother in law said, she is crying let her touch her! She did not care that my daughter who just had her shots would wake up and cry. Couple of weeks ago, we saw my mother in law at the mall. We saw that she was buying expensive items for my niece. When she saw us, she said that she bought something for my daughter also. It was the ugliest, cheapest shorts that I have ever seen, while my niece is getting all designer stuff. Last straw was this weekend. My mother in law kept promising that she would take my daughter for a night, so we could have some rest. This weekend we took her up on the offer. Couple of minutes later, she called us back saying that she does not feel well. Later we found out that my niece stayed over that night. I am so mad but I don’t know what to do? My husband is really upset also but he does not know what to do either. Should we yell and scream or should we hold our head high and pretend that nothing is going on? Should we keep our daughter from seeing her grandparents?

Well i have been dating my bf for 4 year's.And I really love him,but we have our difference's.He is like a computer geek.He use to be in a boy racer team. And he does nearly everything.I almost everytime get mad at thing's he does like make's alot of bill's and debt's for himself.I want to be there for him.But talking to him about problem's alway's turn's into argument's and domestic's.i have a anger problem sometime's when i can just shout and yell at him.And he just sits there thinking like he's alway's right and I'm the offender/abuser.ANd im wrong.Or maybe i am just crazy!!..........

I want to change.Because i love him and i know that asking men would be a good solution..

Not being sexually active till well into a relationship (3 month+)
my question is if you truly like a woman for all her other qualities do you think this would scare you off or not be that large of an issue? I am not talking about waiting for marriage but waiting for a relationship that seems to have the possiblity of long term or until you feel secure in that relationship. Guys, would you wait if she was great?

It seems that women think they should use the children as bargaining chips during divorces. Some of the dirty tricks include hiding the children, accusing the husbands of all kinds of ugly things and disparaging the father. It seems like all a woman has to do is claim abuse and they can get away with murder like the preacher's wife did. There was no proof of anything to do with abuse and even though the jury found her guilty, the judge let her off. I can see his reason even though I do not agree that the kids lost one parent, they should not lose another. She shot the man in cold blood in front of the kids.

It seems that in most divorce cases, the judges side with the moms, no matter what reality is or the facts. What gives the woman the right to take away parental rights from a father based on lies and deceit? Granted that the child resided in the mother for nine months, why does society allow the father to be negligible in rights yet pay for the privilege?

I am saying, most not all. I do admit that some dads should not be given children. I am seeking redress for the rest of us. I am pointing out that society has ignored facts and reality to give more rights to a mother simply because of the biology of our species.

I blame Hollywood and many well meaning social workers but it is time for Dads to join together and change. I am blaming judges without backbones. I am blaming lawyers who perpetuate this for money. I blame mothers who are greedy and seeking revenge. I blame the dads for not joining forces and seeking help from each other. Please write me if you agree. I will be launching a child and family protection portal soon to help me deal with my personal situation

Here is the scenario.... My brother's GF took his daughter and moved out of state (Nevada), the child is 7 months old and was born in Colorado. She moved into a house with her dad, brother and grandfather. The house is a trailer and is infested with Cockroaches, as well the father and brother are into drugs. The mother of the child is not working and has been denied welfare due to "using the system". My brother lives in a nice apt. and has a decent paying full time job in Colorado.
If it helps, the father, 2 uncles, aunt, grandma, step-grandpa all live in Colorado.

Any help is greatly appreciated on how my brother can go about getting his daughter back.

Thanks you

A very good friend and I were planning our weddings at the same time. I was going to marry the man I had been with for 3 years and had a child with. It would be my first (and I would hope only) wedding. She is marrying for a second time and had only been with him for 3 months before he asked.

Anyway my (now ex) finace and I were going to be married in January through a justice of the peace and then have a ceremony in the summer. He took off, yet to be heard from, a week before we had it planned. But every time I talked to her after that happened, all she wanted to talk about was how her planning was going. I found it to be very insensitive and rude knowing what just happened in my life. Am I wrong?

I've known this guy for several months now and he knows I like him. He's a Marine and he's deployed right now in Djibouti (tiny country in Africa) and I wrote another letter to him a while ago telling him again that I like him. A couple weeks after he got the letter we had this long conversation in which he ended up saying he hated relationships, relationships are the sucks, and he might never want to be in a relationship again. I told him he was being unfair...to me and stuff...I asked him what was wrong with me and he said nothing, he just doesn't want to be in a relationship...

So, my question is, do you think he really hates relationships? If so, what can I say to him or do to change his mind? Can I change his mind? Keep in mind, he's deployed. Or does he just not like me? (I hope it's not that.) He never directly responded to the letter...

Long story short....

my fiance and I like the idea of having an evening reception- we have some space constraints that do not allow assigned seating for everyone (we will have seating for all- but a mix of long tables and cafe' tables)...I'm thinking the seating limitations will make a formal dinner- and even family style a little difficult and cumbersome.

I want my guests to be happy- and not hungry!

we were thinking a 20-30 minute appetizer/mimosas at the church prior to the wedding- it has a nice garden area we would be able to use for those purposes

then continue at the reception with heavy appetizers (enough to ensure each guest could have 10-15) We aren't talking chips and dip or just cheese and crackers (I've asked a similar question before- no- this isn't the cheez whiz wedding with overalls) :+)

no cash bar....

the only thing we are missing is formal entree's....

what do you think?
