Well if you never ask, you'll never find out. And I deal with the same problem, so coming from me that doesn't mean much, sorry. What I wuld suggest is that if you're too shy to ask this person out then obviously you need to get to know them more and also that they're not the right one. Just try to and you may be able to.

I was really shy to let this guy know that i like him but i took a risk and did because all i thought was what have i got to loose. I'll feel embarassed for a while if he says he doesn't feel the same but ill get over it. Thank god it didn't turn out that way. We ended up dating and we have been together for 2 years now.
What have you got to loose??

easiest way to get over shyness is to get over the fear or rejection. you've got to make yourself comfortable in your own skin. folks take notice of confident people. try speaking to people as tho you are completely comfortable and ask the guy out in a noncommital way. like ask if he'd like to do something over the holiday or something.

It's really hard to ask someone out, regardless of the gender. The best thing to do it have a script made beforehand of what you want to say. Take a deep breath, walk up to them, and just recite it. Having something premeditated to say is a GIANT help.

By forcing yourself to. There isn't no silver bullet for shyness; you just have to fight it. If the fellow is anything like myself, he'd say yes just because you took the initiative.

Just walk over to the guy you like, ask him what does he think would be a nice gift for your brothers b-day, then suggest you go out on a date together and pick it out together then if he likes it then give it to your date. if not too expensive!

don't specifcally as him on a date. as him out with a group of mates first so that it's less pressure. if that goes well then you'll be brave enough to ask him again.
or just bite the bullet and ask. what's the worse that can happen?? he says no??? well that's his loss and nowt to worry about because there are plenty of people out there that will want to say yes bacuse they are too shy to ask you themselves

Sorry but there`s NO magic cure. If you like him enough then you`ll pluck up the courage and ask. If you can`t do that then it`s because you don`t like him enough. It`s really totally up to you. Sure, you COULD e-mail but then what do you do when you meet him in person ?.

Just ask. You just do it and get it over with. It's very hard, yes....but you just do it.
It's a lot like jumpping in the pool. If you get in slow the water is ice cold....but if you just jump in, your fine.
