it is a split on the subject becuase it depends on the type of person in some cases men can be dogs and other women can be but really i would say both because when a person cheats on their mate and the other person know they have a mate then they both are cheating, then on the other hand women because women are cheat a lot but just know how to cover it up then men because its hard for some men to commit i dont know im with you and yourt friends its a subject that its equally

I would say both, but men are more likely to get caught as they tell their mates. Women however keep it a secret, so you never know. Most of the cheating behaviour that I have personally seen has been by men but then I think women can pick up on/disguise body language better.

I think men and women are equally likely to cheat. I don't think one sex is worse than the other. The only difference is men admit to it - women do not (on average)!! And I also agree with Charles B: It may seem that men are more likely to cheat because they are more likely to get caught whereas women are not.

Willie I am of the belief that both sexes probably cheat at approximately the same rate. Sad but true and the human is one of the only animals that attempts to be monogamous whereas our fellow mammals do not stay with one partner throughout. Although there have been plenty of truly faithful relationship throughout the years, they are not the ones we hear about. Instead we hear of the failures and of the people who have cheated on their mates.

There is no way to get a definite answer.
1. Define cheating. I slept with a man who didn't tell me he had a fiancee until after the fact, yet since there was no actual penetration - everything else but this - he didn't believe he had cheated on his soon to be wife.

2. Any answer you do get will be a generalisation and based on opinions, discriminations and the "pasts" of those giving you information.

I'm a woman and agree with your friends, women cheat the most. Men usually don't pay that much attention to details and women are really good a finessing them to their advantage.

It has to be equal if we are talking about straight relationships because a man has to do it with a woman and vice versa.

In my experience women are more likely to cheat but they just don't tell anyone. They don't come home smelling of perfume, have lipstick on their clothing, the smell of sex on their bodies or stains in their underwear through using a condom. Sneaky aren't they lol

Statistically men do. The stats indicate 80 percent of men cheat at least once in their lives. The interesting thing is women are close behind... more than 50 percent. Of course this is the official type cheating, i.e. in marriage.

At one time I would have immediately said - Men. But after having a number of women cheat on me - and I not on them - I am changing my opinion.

men. all the time. every man i've ever known has either done it or is thinking of doing it this very moment. i've always kept it real with women and tell them i don't do relationships. i'm not sure i could ever be faithful to one woman. she's have to be someone incredibly special.
