All we do lately is eat and watch tv and movies. We got kids but have a babysitter for Saturday night. That means another boring restaurant or movie. How can I convince her to go to a night club and dress pretty and party and be bad? I have asked and she says it's irresponsible to go out drinking.

A friend of my father's gave me an engagement gift. I have been engaged now for almost a year and feel that they just did so so they get an invite to the wedding. It is something that they have done to others in the past as well. I really do not know them at all and from what I understand the wife tends to be a troublemaker. The last wedding we were all at together she almost got into a fist fight and most of the people at her table left early. Am I obligated to invite them to the wedding if they got me an engagement gift or is a simple "thank you" note enough? I explained my hesitation to my father as it is his friend and who is paying for the wedding and he was understandable to it. And he and my mom have A LOT of friends coming to the wedding so it is not like I am being unfair in that aspect. I just don't know them or want them there. But I also don't want to be rude.

My friend (female) and her best friend (male) are both married and have been friends for over 20 years. Now they are thinking about becoming "friends with benefits." She says that neither one is interested in leaving their marriage, but bored sexually. She also says that they both agree on this and nobody will ever know when/if they start. She said nothing has happened yet, but probably will soon. He lives in another state now and only sees her once or twice a year and she says that will help keep the potential feelings in place so it does not go any further. I am afraid she will ruin her life if this happens. Is it possible for two consenting adults to have this type of relationship without others knowing? I dont know what to say to her.

Hi,
This qs is about me,I am a married woman with a lovely kid.My problem is that I hate friends,as i never had good experience.They never made me feel good.In my college i had very few friends,i was very selective abt my friends.Actually the thing is I was not smart like other girls,so i had always had low level of confidence,My husband says, i try to be away from people and that is not good.I am not able to face their silly jokes and u know what whatever they joke it's just a taunt nothing else.I sacrificed my career and now i again started studying but just cannot do it.I feel that whole life my dreams are just gonna be dreams bcoz i tried and just not able to do it.One of my friend when she had friends with her,she just used to make me feel so bad and now when she is not there,she comes to my house and shows as if she is my friend.Then she will taunt me jokingly,but my stupid heart keeps quiet ,doesnt back ans jokingly.I feel so bad just keep thinking abt it and feel useless.

What was it?

For me there were two: My beautiful friend Taura gave me a candle with a scent called "Wedding Day." It actually smells just like a WEDDING, somehow!!

The second was an hundred dollar bill inside of my invitation from an old High School coach. He said sending money back in the invitation was a tradition meant for good fortune. I never knew that(!) and his was the first present that arrived. That was pure sweetness.

I got a lot of great advice, too and that was all free.

I had a friend tell me that her man smokes crack. She says hew doesn't steal from her, he keeps a job, and he supports his own habit.

The first time it happened I found a wash cloth in the trash.... The problem is I didn't really find anything this time. I just knew.... I
knew it was happening when I was in the next room. I made some snide
comment this morning and he finally half admitted to it. The issue I have
is that nothing has improved between us since the first time we talked and argued about it. Our sexual relationship isn't that great and this just makes me feel worse.
That I wouldn't have such a problem if he made me feel wanted and loved.
Well he hasn't done either of those things. I guess I have known all of
this time, but it just hurts more when you know for sure. I just feel like
he is breaking my heart : ( What do I do? I just know he will never go see a therapist, he doesn't have that kind of personality.

Okay so I work in a busy law office and my husband works for Child Protectice Services. So , he has travel time a lot during the day. And he has this thing where he will call 3-4 times a day. I don't want to be mean because I love that he thinks about me during the day, but he calls for no reason and I am so busy. I have a distant cousin (once removed) who is in the "Big House" right now.

My Mom doesn't feel enthusiastic about writing to him. But I would like to. My Mom knows him better than I, to be honest. Evidently, this cousin really mistreated his father (my recently departed great uncle) when he was younger. He is in jail now, for reasons I know not.

As a family member and a Christian man, I would like to write to this cousin of mine and try to encourage him. I want to help him, if I can. I want him to understand that he can change, and that there is hope for a better tomorrow. I know that there is potential there for him. I do not know if he is saved. I believe that he isn't, though I have no evidence to unfairly assume this.

I know that he has done drugs in the past. Pardon the cliche, but indeed, we all make mistakes.

What would you suggest I say to him? He feels lonely, and he needs someone to write to him. As I said before, I want to help him, provided that I can do so.
