He is always out hanging out with his friends, at 33 years old, and shows no interest in helping with the house or his 6 month old baby. Maybe it is the winter blues or maybe he is always going to aviod his reponsiblities, but what can I do?

Hubby and I are separated in the first year of our marriage. I went to file my taxes, but it asks for his social security number. I don't know how to get it, and he won't give it to me because he thinks I'm going to use it to open accounts.

I am an athlete and spend hours working out... My girlfriend is slightly overweight and is not willing to lift a finger. Hiding ice-cream and chips did not work... So I bought this new state-of-the-art treadmill and she would not touch it. I am about to lose every hope of ever getting her in shape. Time for a new girlfriend or is there any way to fix this problem?!

My wife and I went to mediation and the mediator sayed it would be best if the kids live with both parents, so we had joint custody. The kids were with me wen-thur and every other fri, sat sun. So they were with my wife mon-tues and every other fri, sat, sun. After trying it for a month or more the kids were all screwed up, they didn't know where to go after school or who to call after sports and stuff. There school work tanked, it wasn't that there mom or me wouldn't help them its that there were forgetting things back and forth and worring over where to be instead of there lives. So after talking with my wife she decided to let the kids live here and help me out with the kids activitys. My kids miss there mom and want to spend time with her too, she is a wonderful mom. So lately she comes over for supper and spends some time with them and then goes to her apartment after. I still love my wife and don't want a divorce. What should I do? Will this crazy life work at all ? Help? Ideas?

ok. so i am 23, and have two kids, yougest is under 1, my partner was an alcholic and very violent he is currently in prison for what he has done to me and is due to be let out he has been writing to me stating that he is a changed man and has been getting help while in prison, and wants to be a family with me and the kids, i still love this man and wont to work things outhe can be really sweet when sober should i give him the benifit of the doubt and let him come home or just cut my losses

I have a lot of bitterness and resentment toward my ex-husband's sisters. During our marriage, he focused on them and their lives and not me. Now, they do not care for him and his life is messed up.

His youngest sister lives overseas and he really pushed her to come here to have her baby. She never did. He constantly was in touch with her when she was pregnant and knew every detail of her pregnancy.

He also focused on his middle sister's marital problems. Her husband had hit her and he tried to get her to leave her marriage.

I feel its partly because focused on them that our marriage broke. His family is not in touch with me now at all. I feel bad because of his focus on them, our marriage broke and their lives went ahead.

I was staying with my daughter a few weeks ago and my mother-in-law said that because of me being there, my youngest sister-in-law did not want to come from overseas to visit. I left so now she can plan her visit.

What do you think of "it's YOUR day you can do what you want" being used to justify every little thing that a bride wants?

Obviously there are some occasions where this legitimately needs to be said because someone really is taking over a couple's wedding and ruining it on them. But I'm getting tired of seeing every silly, selfish and inane idea a bride throws out being justified by someone saying, "It's YOUR day."

Thoughts?

PS - if you have to ask, YES, IT'S TACKY!!!!!!!!!

I was still new to the workplace and she became my working buddy,teaching and showing me around..Yes everybody knows that i am a lesbian but no,i did not flirt with anyone..we become fast friends and sometimes we do message one another after work..until one day she totally ignore me and avoid looking me through the eyes?at work she totally gave me the cold shoulder and never even reply to my messages..
i send her text messages saying i'm sorry if i've done any mistakes at work..or maybe i've hurt her feelings whatever..but she totally ignore me..until i fall into depression and had to report sick for 03 days..she knew it but never even wished me a get well soon or anything? is it too much to ask for?
I am working in the police department and i hope my condition won't affect me..whatever it is i am sorry if i had done any mistakes..

as you guys know i like my friend i have come to the conclusion that i will tell him
the problem is that i don't know how to tell him
what steps did you take or what steps would you take to tell him that you like him/her but you can't forget that this person is your friend. My husband is leaving active duty and we are finally settling in one palce 500 miles away from my mother in law. When we told her about this she immediately said she needed to sell her home (that she bought less than a year ago) and move closer to us. When we told her how expensive the area was and that she'd have to buy a much smaller home or even live in an apartment she said we'd just have to buy a place big enough for her. Neither my husband or I want any of our parents living with us - we've both experienced the stress this can place on families/marriages first hand growing up. I have already had "the talk" with my parents and a plan is in place if they can no longer live on their own. My husband (only child) has not had such success as his mother is a drama queen and keeps saying she'd rather die than live in a nursing home/retirement village etc. Any Sopranos fans should note that my MIL is very much like Livia (Tony's mom) without the homicidal tendancies.
