He is always out hanging out with his friends, at 33 years old, and shows no interest in helping with the house or his 6 month old baby. Maybe it is the winter blues or maybe he is always going to aviod his reponsiblities, but what can I do?

Honey at 33 he is old enough to help out with the house and baby. Winter blues or not he has a family now, so if he doesn't want what he has now, maybe a little bit of a scare would bring him down to earth. Tell him straight up that your not happy with him hangin with friends all the time. You have to be strong with the approach and if he loves you he will cut down the time he is spending with friends.

Interesting. I've been there and done that. He sounds immature and selfish. 'His' friends come first, 'his playtime' comes first. I'd set him down and have a talk with him seriously. Let him know things bother you and give examples. Then see how things go, if he's good for awhile and falls back into the same routine, it's time to get your ducks in a row and move on. You guys don't deserve any of that, and as old as he is, he should know better. Good luck!

Sit him down, and talk to him. Hold nothing back that is bothering you. Don't be ugly about it, but be firm, and honest. He might not realize the seriousness of the problem. Once he does, then hopefully, he will do differently. Good Luck!!

If he doesn't work get RID OF HIM. He's a useless bum and a bad parent. Better a good stepfather than a terrible blood-father.
