After my wedding, can I still call my future husband my partner/lover?
I really prefer it and it gives off this sort of ambigious "is she gay?" thing that I find rather amusing.

Ultimately that is up to the two of you. My personal belief is pet names or references should convey some of your emotion and respect for your partner. In my case after ten years I still refer to my wife as my bride. It gets a bit of a reaction which is fun but mostly it reflects my feelings for her.

I never liked the name "husband", either. It sounded like I was "owned" or something to me. So call him your partner or lover.

Call him what you want but I'd think anybody who referred to someone as their 'lover' as a slut and/or weirdo married or not.

He is the jelly to your peanut butter
the salt to your pepper
the Ernie to your Bert

Call him what you wish- just don't call him late for supper!
