What was it?

For me there were two: My beautiful friend Taura gave me a candle with a scent called "Wedding Day." It actually smells just like a WEDDING, somehow!!

The second was an hundred dollar bill inside of my invitation from an old High School coach. He said sending money back in the invitation was a tradition meant for good fortune. I never knew that(!) and his was the first present that arrived. That was pure sweetness.

I got a lot of great advice, too and that was all free.

Peace.

My favorite wedding gift was our honeymoon from my husbands Aunt. We didnt have the money so we werent going to take one, but his aunt owned a condo on Sanibel Island in FL and she had told the realtor to reserve the week for us, she paid for our plane tickets and everything, we just couldnt have been more greatful or suprised than we were when she told us we would be leaving that Monday for the week.

Now I can say that I have put my toes in the Gulf of Mexico!

My husband's aunt and uncle gave us an original watercolor painting - our first real piece of artwork. My best friend gave us our Waterford unity candle set. I think those are my favorites.

Money's always nice - but I think (of the top of my head) - my favorite gift was a silver bowl that my cousin sent us from Hong Kong. Very neat!

Most unusual and helpful was a huge role of stamps for the thank you cards. Not something you think about giving someone, but it was extremely helpful and thoughtful. I really needed it!
