okay, so around june, my best friend and i started going out. i ended it with him in september because he was coming on too strong for me and i felt like i was leading him on. i made it clear during the relationship i wanted to stay friends afterwards, but it was obvious he wasn't into it. now, of all times, i realize how much i miss him and that i still have some feelings left over for him. i heard that he still has strong ones for me, but whenever i try to talk to him, he clams up and gives one-word answers. i wished him happy birthday a few days ago and he just looked away and said "thank you" in this really weird voice. i'd be content just being his friend, but he doesn't seem to want anything to do with me and i'm always losing the nerve to talk to him! what do i do??

My husband and I are young i am 21 he is 25. Weve been married for 1 1/2 years. Weve been together for atotal of 5 1/2 years. Hes constantly mean to me and I of course get angry and take it out on our 2 young children! I take care of the kids all alone because he works and goes to school. My bf and I got in an argument yesterday over a stupid decision, where to put our dog run. I like to plan things out so there's no wasting money. He just wants to put it in and it doesn't matter where. The argument escalated and was interrupted by my son needing my help. Son was inside the house so he didn't hear us arguing, thank goodness. But while I was helping my son, I heard what sounded like a crash. I ran upstairs to find out what was happening. He met me at the door of the bathroom, and when confronted with the question as to what that sound was, he said it was nothing. At the time I couldn't delve into it because I needed to help my son again. The next day I saw a hole in the bathroom wall. We've been together for four years, and he's done something destructive like this, after an argument, maybe two times before. What I am scared of, is this really a precursor to hitting me or my son, or is this just blowing off steam? Does he need help or is it too late?

My friend and her husband married after a few months of knowing each other. They are celebrating their 2nd anniversary and up until 3 months ago they had a bad marriage and planned to divorce. For the past 2 months they have been rebuilding their marriage and say things are much better.

My friend got pregnant and it wasn't planned. She said she isn't sure that they will be married forever, but it taking it one day at a time.

i'm happy with my fiance and my life since i left my hometown at 18. we've been dating for three years and we're getting married this summer. here's the problem: i don't really want my mom involved with my new life/wedding/etc. she married the man that kicked me out of the house at 17, when he'd only been living there a month or two (and wasn't paying rent.) she's continuously chosen her man of the hour over her two children, and has now chased them both off. she's passive aggressive in her communication (ie: my little brother joined the navy and they told me (after he was stationed) by sending me a "US NAVY SISTER" tshirt, or how i didn't find out she was going to be in iraq for a year until long after she'd left) so my question is this: do i tell my mom i'm getting married and just hope she won't come, or do i tell her after the ceremony? should i be the bigger person and try to ignore the fact that i can't stand her and haven't seen her in years? or do i enjoy my wedding for myself?

I'm a sophomore in highschool, and there's a freshman girl I saw who I want to get to know. How should I approach her for the first time?
I don't have any classes with her, and i only see her in between some classes.

In another question, I was told to smile and make eye contact when I see her in the halls, but not to freak her out.

Then later go up and say hey, or that I've been seeing her in the hallways and I had to go up to her.

Will this work?

And is there any difference between like a "friendly smile", and an "I like you smile"?

Okay here's the deal.
I never have had a boyfreind, and yet all of my friends who I know for a fact are not the best looking people [to put it simply] somehow snag all of the guys. I am shy, and intelligent. I write poetry like I breathe air. I am my own person and don't allow people to tell me what to do. I am in love wth my best guy friend, and I don't know what to do about it. To put it simple terms: I am confused.

I don't know why I haven't ever had a boyfriend. Personality-wise, I am great. But, what about beauty-wise? Please be honest. Also, how old do I appear to look? Many people say I look older than what I actually am.
