I AM THINKING THAT A WEBCAM IS SAFER, BUT PLEASE SWEET YOUNGLADY DO NOT ABUSE IT AND LET IT BECOME SOMETHING DIRTY. DON'T USE IT FOR HIM TO GET HIS SEXUAL KICKS OFF. I WOULD ENCOURAGE YOU TO FIRST MAKE SURE HE IS 12 TO BY GETTING HIS BIRTHDAY AND THE YEAR SUBTRACT IT FROM THIS YEAR AND IF IT CHECKS OUT THAT HE IS WHAT HE SAYS HE IS YOU THEN CONTINUE FROM THERE. IF IT EVER COMES UP THAT HE WANTS TOO MEET YOU DON'T EVER GO ALONE, TAKE AN ADULT WITH YOU. BE SMART AND SAFE

NOOOOOOOOOO!
I know it seems clichéed, but there is absolutely NO WAY you can determine the guy's real age, location, intentions, or, for that matter, gender. Just because you talk to him a lot doesn't mean he's going to be honest with you. And, if you think about it, giving him your phone number or letting him see you would just give him an easier way to EXPLOIT YOU. I mean, heck, I could be a 50-year-old fat guy living in my mother's basement, for all anyone knows (but I'm NOT, fyi). My advice: stop talking to him entirely. I know you won't do that, but puh-lease don't give him an opportunity to take advantage of you. You're only 12. Don't waste your life.

One more thing: you really shouldn't tell us your real name. It's great to know that your name is Juliana, but you really should keep that off the internet. K? K.

definitely not youre only 12 make sure he gets a webcam first so you can tell approximately how old he is. he can figure out your address and everything about you just using your phone number. there are sites where you pay 50 dollars and give the something like a phone number and you receive all the information there is to know about that person DONT DO IT

Phone numbers:
Ask yourself this: Can either of you face your parents when the phone bill comes in? Never mind the whole problem of giving out personal information to a stranger on the 'net. Yeah, I know you've been talking to him for a while, but you still don't know everything about this guy.

Web cam:
Ask yourself this: Are you SURE this guy is the same age as you?!? There are lots of creepy perverts out there on the 'net who lie about their age. I say no way.

Sweetheart,
DON'T exchange numbers with him.
DON'T let him see you on web cam.

If you like him then invite him over ONLY while your parents are home and have a good friend hang out with you. You could put on some music and t.v and make cookies. It would be cool.

But don't be alone with him until you KNOW FOR SURE who he is and what he's all about.

Tragedies happen all the time.
Be educated, be smart.

You need to tell an adult about this.....your still a kid at 12 and probably dont make good judgments about this. PLEASE do NOT give out ANY personal information to him. Do NOT give him your phone number, address, or your last name. Don't do the webcam thing either.....how do you know he isn't some old pervert? He could be showing you pictures of his grandson so you think he is young himself. Talk to an adult please.

Well if you really like like him
first get a web cam. make him show himself first, then show yourself.
then if he's not a 40 year old perv, give him your phone number after the webcam thing, listen to his voice carefully to detect age.
If you guys hit it off i'm happy for you guys.

my ponion is there are a lot of weridos out there and even though he may seem like a nice guy, dosen't mean he actully is, i wouldn't give him your phone number but if you really want to show him what you look like get a web cam( but from personal experince what ya see isn't always what ya get) and your only 12 there is plenty of time for you to find the right guy.

the only thing is you have to be careful ya know. if he has a web cam then sure try that out first. but i dont know if i would give him my phone number till i saw what he looked like. but casually bring up the phone thing and see what he says....if hes game then try it out....just be careful

I would definitely ask your parents first! Sometimes older guys who are dangerous can be VERY good at making you think they're someone they aren't. Be very careful. I would NOT give him my phone number! Please ask your parents before you give him pictures of yourself, and don't give anyone any information online. Even if HE is a good person, others can see your information and they may not be so good!
