Well honestly, I dont' have any friends or many guys that i know that don't cheat. I think most men cheat. Men like a variety. It doesn't have anything to do with how good you are in bed or how much he loves you , we just crave variety in women. I don't cheat but i'm 1 out of 10 probably.

With men cheating 60% of the time and women 40%, I don't think it's for the reasons people assume (just sex or for the thrills, etc). Nor would I tend to attribute it just to guys.

In fact, I assume that, contrary to social opinion, monogamy isn't normal for all people. Unfortunately, society isn't accomodating to those who want to be both honest and are not naturally monogamous. Open relationships are seriously frowned upon.

Most guys or girls don't cheat to get sex. It happens, but not to most people. Most fall into a relationship unexpectedly and only have two options they see open to them. Leave the new relationship, which is brutally difficult, or cheat. Society has shown them only those two options.

I am polyamorous. I am very open about my feelings and non-monogamous nature. I always make certain everyone involved is aware and OK before I enter into a relationship (their significant other, if they have one, and my wife). Though sex is a component of these romantic relationships, it's no different than anyone with a girlfriend or wife. They are long term and very loving relationships.

For those who are not monogamous, but not interested in long-term romantic relationships (i.e. sex is the more important aspect) and want to be open and honest with their partner, there is swinging. I"ve never experienced it, so cannot talk about it much.

I've always wondered why people find cheating (breaking the rules) more acceptable than open and honest non-monogamy.

Men arent the only ones to cheat.

22 percent of married men have strayed at least once during their married lives.
14 percent of married women have had affairs at least once during their married lives.
Younger people are more likely candidates; in fact, younger women are as likely as younger men to be unfaithful.
70 percent of married women and 54 percent of married men did not know of their spouses' extramarital activity.
About 60 percent of men and 40 percent of women will have an affair at some point in some marriage "Monogamy Myth", Therapist Peggy Vaugn

The fact is that human beings are NOT monogamous by nature. That means they cheat. Experts say that a gut instinct is the most powerful indicator of a cheating lover. Adultery statistics state that 85% of woman who feel their lover is cheating are correct. 50% of men who feel their lover is cheating are right. The first clue is seldom obvious. Typically, it's a "feeling" that something is different.

Well, first of all I think it's important for you to trust your bf. But anyway, I think the reason guys cheat is because they don't respect women, or their girlfriend, for that matter. They don't think about consequences and they don't know what they want. They don't value what they already have and they take it for granted. They don't see they have a great girl and that they will lose her if they don't treat them with the respect they deserve. They are also not committed. They use women and dating as a form of recreation. They don't really look into the future and wonder what will happen when they realize all the decent women are gone. :[
..Just immature, I guess.

Why do woman cheat? Insecure, not happy, stupid, doesn't know anything better, and or things he will look cool being the player. If you think he is hen you should talk to him and see if he is. Snooping will only cause a fight and may end your relationship. You will be very upset if you find out he wasn't and you snooped. Honesty is the best answer for any relationship problem.

Why do you think he is cheating? Has his behavior around you changed? Set a couple of traps. Check his emails, his cell phone and his text message history. Call him in the middle of the day and ask him to meet you later for wild sex, if he can't make it you have trouble. Men will always change there schedule to be there for a wild time with their lady. Best of luck, better to know now and not later.... Zeke

Men are constantly 'in heat', whereas women are only occasionally 'in the mood' for sex. We need a woman for 'loving', who only rarely needs us. Also the idea of having one woman is like listening to only one song over and over. No matter how much you like the song after a while it's gonna get old. Women on the other hand aren't constantly listening to songs, so they don't notice it's getting old 'til after they catch their boyfriend with their sister, mother, or friend. Hope this helps.

lets redo your question..why do some men cheat...I've been married almost 16 yrs and have not cheated on the wife...because I love her..we dated 9 months before we married..and i did not cheat..
well other men cheat...becuase the same woman can get boring with in the sack...they want something different...maybe they are not getting enough at home or she wont do something the guy wants..or just plain and simple he just loves screwing around...

Because it is useful to the survival of the species for the male to have the desire to spread his seed as widely as possible, so that those who have that desire are more likely to procreate, and therefore pass down that personality to other males. In other words, that is just the way men are.
