I know scented products are banned from some public places. But there are many other places where a few people seem to drench themselves in scent. Many of these scents make me choke.
How do you convince a co-worker or a neighbor, for example, that this is a real problem, when you have already asked to them not to wear perfume around you, and they don't take it seriously? They act as though I'm the one who is being difficult. Maybe I am being difficult? What do you think? What can I do, if it's not possible to avoid being around them?
I put this in the family category because I think it's similar to negotiating in a relationship, and I know there is lots of wisdom here, judging from the answers I've seen.
