When she was going out with her boyfriend she used to tell me about their problems and whenever me and her were talking together she used to say 'you better go cause I don't want him to see us together' whenever he was around. Once I said I liked someone to see what she would say, and she said 'they aren't good enough for you'. I asked her best friend (my ex) to ask the girl who she liked at the moment and the girl said 'I don't like any boys at the moment because I'm still getting over my ex' and she told my ex that I am a 'really good friend'. Any advice? how long should I wait? it's been three weeks since they split up. Am I in the dreaded 'friend zone'? if so, how can I get out?

She's not even ready for a rebound. It's not fair to yourself to wait with hope. She's made it clear that you are a friend only. Accept that this is where you're at with the girl right now. You could be the friend for her but if someone else comes around that attracts your attention, then go for it. You could otherwise be waiting for something that may never happen. Okay? I know it's tough. But trust me, it's good advice. I've been there myself. :)

It may be to late to get out of the "FRIEND ZONE"
But if you want to give it a try just Waite and the time will show it to you.
