My significant other has gone to the opposite coast for a week with her mother and aside from a quick txt message to my cell phone letting me know that she arrived safely I haven't conversed with her one time. I didn't expect for her to call or message me daily but every other or every third day would have been fine with me. I'm looking to hear from both males and females whom have experienced a similar series of events as these. Am I wrong for wanting to hear about her trip, how she's doing a little at a time instead of getting it all at once when she gets back when a lot of the details will likely be forgotten?

My family have 8 kids under the age of 12. I usually buy the little ones toys and the older ones outfits or books and I would say, I had probably spend a little over $30 a kid. Now, I'm married. My husbands got 18 kids(nephews & nieces) in his family. We don't have kids of our own yet, I should add. My husband, before we got married, he gets all the kids gift certificates. The little ones $5 and the older ones $10. I need and opinion on how to balance out everybody. I admit, the kids in my family, are a little spoil because everybody, all my brothers and sisters buys them stuff and they're not cheap stuff too. We talked about it and I think the most we can spend on a older kid is $12-15 and $5-8 for the little ones which are under the age of 10. Is this fair? I mean, I can't afford to pay $30 present for a kid anymore. Together we have 23 kid we need to buy presents for. We are not planning to not buy any of them a present, just needs to know your opinion if theres a better way.

I homeschool according to the SOLs but I am wondering what kinds of reports the kids write in fifth. How long, what topics?

Also, what is the required reading for fifth? Meaning, what titles?

Should I give them cash (although it feels kind of weird and impersonal), or a gift card (what kind of gift card??). They just move into a tiny apartment but friends and family have given them most of what they need (stuff for the kitchen, ect).

I know it's pretty obvious everyone has these problems...your best friend goes for your guy. The problem is that he's like the first real bf ive had since breaking up with my best friend's cousin a year ago which was difficult to get over anyway. She's had a bf for about two and a half years...but now that im with my guy she wants make comments about how she should be with him and not me. Considering my self-esteem isn't the highest i don't get why she wants me to feel even worse then i do about myself! I really need some advice for this one...because when choosing over friendship and then over dating i stick with the first. But he was my best friend and now that we're together when we see each other we're closer then she and I. Plz give me advice!!!

I am looking for a wife, my net worth is about 400 million (which I will prove if interested) does anyone know of a service that will search for a wife for me?

Whenever my ex-girlfriend goes outside at night, she calls me. Sometimes, for reasons unknown to me, she will decide to walk to the store or something around 2 am, and she calls me so that "it'll look like I'm doing something so I don't get attacked." Some of these midnight trips just happen to be walking to her ex-boyfriend's house.
She is a 5'2" blonde, white, 18-year-old girl who broke up with me recently. Her ex lives 3 blocks away and is not in a relationship of any kind. If she goes to his house at 2 am (drunk, even), I'm going to put my money on it being a booty call.
Keep in mind that she doesn't just call me when she goes to see him, it's every time she goes out at night. But, if she's going to see this guy so late at night, what need does she have to call me? Why doesn't she just call him? I really don't get this.

Lots of bright people are on this site who know lots of things, so thought I'd toss this one. This problem has to have been around forever, so there has to be a topical remedy that someone's grandmother knew. All the websites just want to sell you a product.

My wife has always been very loving. We met about 8 years ago, she moved to be near me about 2 weeks after we met. We fell in love the first time we met and have been together since that day. neither of us had a thing when we met financially and we have been through hard times. She has stuck with me through alot, and was always loving about it. The majority of the time she is now, but when we argue she demonstrates such incredible rage and says such hateful things and treats me like she honestly hates me. My fear is that while she loved me when she was younger (she was 20 when we met) that now as she is getting to her late twenties, she is seeing how much better her life could have been. I am a survivor of child sexual abuse, and this is another factor that I think she is sick of. This past does not leave me emotionally prepared to loose the person I love and who's always been on my side. It is almost too emotionally hard to bare just my realizations.

Is it boudary you have to agree on? Is flirting allowed? Is a lady allowed a male friend and vice versa? How far would you allow someone to go before you said 'THAT IT!'?
