I want to go to a school called Mt Sierra College in Monrovia , CA to get a bachelors degree in Information Technology with a concentration in Information Security. I believe this is a trade school and it is very expensive. Here are the accredations the school has : Accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT), Arlington, VA

Approved as a degree-granting institution by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education (BPPVE), Sacramento, CA

Authorized by the U.S. Department of Education to offer Federal Loans and Grants to qualified students, Washington, D.C.

Are these accredations good enough and should I enroll in the school. How do I know if it is a good school or not . What should I be looking at ?

Can any one tell me how to tell if a college is any good? I have heard of a lot of people spending a lot of time and money getting a college degree and not being able to get a job because the college they went to is not a very good or respected college.

The school I am looking at is UVSC http://www.uvscaviation.com/index.htm Any body heard anything good or bad about them? They do say there are regionally accredited, should that mean anything to me? What else should I look for?

Also does anyone know if there a difference between a bachelors degree and a bachelors of science?

I just want a job that starts out making about 50,000 a year. I always hear of people who start out making that or even more!
I knew this girl who started off making 60,000 in PUBLIC RELATIONS!
So, why does everyone say that you start out making 30,000?
I will have a Bachelors in marketing, and then I will have a masters in it as well!

im 16 & beginning my college search. i used to always want to go to princeton, but now that im really looking into it, princeton doesnt seem to offer the majors im passionate about. im top of a class of about 150, will have taken approximately 12 ap classes by the time i graduate, have 400+ hours of community service, & do a lot of extracurricular activities. right now, i really want to write & direct films for my job. i used to think about being a lawyer or a doctor, but if i choose either of those careers, i may be successful, but never fulfilled or satisfied. i want to go to a great college because i know i have a good chance of getting in, but i want to go to college for filmmaking and screenplay writing. maybe even double in psychology- not because i want to be a psychologist but because the human mind interests me &can help me create influential movies. lol sorry for rambling, but basically what are top colleges that have great film programs(yale, stanford, columbia, etc??)

Should you not apply to a program that does not have any Full-time faculty who have research interests in the area you want to write your thesis on? Because there's a really great school I want to apply to but I read all the faculty bio's and not a single person has the same research interest as me, or even a somewhat similar research interest.
I'm finding that I'm running into this problem with a lot of the grad schools I have been researching and the majority of them are well-known ones. What should I do
