Im going to be a senior in high school and I know that there is no way on earth that I could get into Duke, so I want to go to Auburn or some other school thats easier to get into and transfer to Duke after freshman year.

What kind of grades do I need for this and what are the percentages of transfers admitted to Duke.

I got into both Loyola and Depaul. Focusing on academics and the best job opportunities post graduation, which school would you choose for a Finance major?

I've added UPenn to my college list, but I'm disappointed to report that in order for any pre-college credits to be considered, said credits must be earned through a program in which I'm seeded with other college students. I'm in a program that awards University of DE credits for UofD courses, but the classes are taught exclusively to high schoolers (that's how the program works.) Additionally, these courses substitute my high school courses in math and English, which is another disqualification by UPenn standards.

Is it possible to negotiate this kind of thing? Would the UD credits I earn (or non-credits, possibly) still help my application, or would I be better off taking the standard AP courses/exams? It's a really great program, but I would hate for it to cause problems when I start applying to colleges. Would a college-level program be regarded as highly as an AP course?

I'd appreciate any feedback, esp. from students who've been in similar situations. Thanks~

I live in Ga and with the hope scholarship you can do a dual enrollment for high school and college. While I am going to college, I am also getting credit for my high school courses without even having to be there. With me doing this program I will graduate from college when I am 20! I have heard alot of mixed reviews on college. I really want to know what I need to be prepared for and also how different it is from high school. I really am kind of nervous :(

High School was never really interesting, so I passed all the classes I needed to graduate. Now that Im going to a Cal State for college Im having trouble picking a major. I really love and into art, but i know being an artist doesn't make enough money; and yet my other interest are science, history, and English. What sums up these kinds of subjects into one great major choice and a highly paid career?

BYU charges LDS church members at a much lower(half) tuition rate than non-LDS church members. My family's income is not high. That's why I care about money.

If I have LDS memebership and get admitted to BYU next fall.
I'll save a lot of bucks. Is it easy?

...and would it be practical for me to take a shot at the GMAT test while I'm still in my BA program to see where I land? Or should I wait until I get my Bachelor's first?

I am on the verge of crying because of stress?
I am so scared i am not going to get into alaska pacific university. I have a 2.7 gpa and i have just finished my sophmore year in HS. i had mono last year at the end of the first quarter and very beginning of the second quarter for 1 entire month so that reallyscrewed me over but i received good grades for the last semester because i didn't miss very much school. i don't know what to do. I am taking ALL IB (international baccalaureate) next year which will give me weighted grades because it is an advanced diploma program and i am almost positive i can get B's and above. Do you think i will make it into a decent college. and i am already studying for my ACT's. I am really stressed out and that is all i am worrying about. if you could help and give me some advice that would be wonderful.
and i am also going to be the president of Earth Club my senior year. and i have tutored and i am going to volunteer at the humane society this year

Can someone give me a good ballpark on college tuitions including everything at an average university in the country (UF, OU or colleges in that same rank)?
I know it could vary depending on scholarship and if you live in a dorm compared to a fraternity or else
Thanks a million.

I just heard that you need self-confidence, and lots of it.

What exactly do they do to you in college/university?

I'm still in high school, and everyone i know would say I'm the master of self-doubt.

So why exactly do you need confidence? Is it absolutely necessary?

Personally, I don't have much confidence, but I'm doing fine in high school. So what's so different about university then?

Thanks ^_^

I want to take the degree worldwide, especially to London. I was just curious as to how it is seen across the globe and domestically. Is the university worth the money? If I am going to be spending loads of cash on my education the degree better be worth it. Is Vanderbilt the school for me?
