I was looking into joining either a community college or a vocational school. I was hoping to find a carreer in the electrical field. The voctional school was formerly known as "Bryman" and has changed the name to "Everest". I am not sure which of the two would benifit me more. Vocational school being $20,000 and a nine month program or community college costing WAY less and graduating in two years. Which is more respected among employers and in the field???

My GPA is a 3.1, I think. It may have gone up since then(1 semester ago). What is this numerically? It doesn't sound very good. :(. I'm only a junior, so I can bring that up next year. But will the first semester of my senior year make a difference? When are applications sent in? I'm taking an AP class first semester, as well as senior project, where I will be designing and sewing prom dresses for some people as my project.

I want to be a costume designer, this summer I am going to volunteer at a local theatre to help in the costume department. I have also worked on costumes for my highschool plays and taken theatre arts class. I am going to be making prom dresses for my senior project. Is there any thing else I could do?

I'll also have taken 5 french credits(by second semester), an extra english credit and all other requirements.

One last question: Is 3.1 high enough to get into a college for fashion/costume design?

There are many websites like Ebay and Amazon upon which I can read reviews of a college text book that I can buy, however, the reviewers often give credit to how fast it arrived after purchase and how glossy the front cover is. Some reviewers complain that the book is confusing, but how can I be certain that those reviewers don't find everything in life confusing. I want to find a website where I can read constructive criticism on many of the college textbooks. To the professor of my upcoming organic chem. it will matter not whether I get the book of which he requires, or something else, as long as I get a grasp of the material. Knowing that there are better chem. text books out there, I might as well spend an extra buck and relieve myself from the missery of inevitable confusion and dred.

how do colleges know what extracurriculars and volunteering you do if they want your recommendations to be from your teachers? are essays/interviews the only way for them to know?

Are AP classes as hard as real college classes, or was I fooled throught my high school years? According to my AP biology teacher, high school AP classes teach more than do college level classes. Is this true? If it is true, does that mean that if you get A's in AP classes you are likely to also get A's in college?

I have already completed three years at a state university, but have had to start working full time and school has taken a backseat. Im looking into alternatives to attending school full time such as online schooling, has anyone attended an online school? If so any feed back would be great. Also would they accept any of my University credit hours toward one of their degrees?

This year i was a sophomore. In my english class (honors) it was a 1yr course. i came into the honors english in the 2nd semester knowing nothing about taking the english regents. I worked my behind off and went to tutoring everyday this teacher had it. and Guess what?? i got an 86. 85 and above goes into AP english. My teacher did not put me in it because she said my writing skills arent up to par. like what in the world is she talking about?? i got an 86 on the english regents. how could my writing not be up to par.

Now the part that mess me up is that my global teacher is putting me into Ap american his. History and English go hand and hand. If your in Ap History you are in AP english. Since im not going into Ap english and going into honors english next yr. my guidance counselor is going to take me out of AP History and into Honors History.

Isnt that some bullcrap?? what should i do? talk to the principal? maybe superintendent?? i deserve to be into that AP english class.

I am planning on becoming a Neonatologist or Neonatal nurse. I will attend UCCS (University of Colorado at Colorado Springs) for my first four years as an undergraduate. I live in Colorado Springs, and am wondering what are some quality Medical Schools. They don't necessarily have to be around my area, but that would help!

Can I get into med school with an MA in Economics?
I started undergrad in engineering, then switched to economics. I'm getting ready to finish a masters program in economics, and I'm weighing my options after that. Would I have a realistic shot at getting into med school, given that background?

I'm aware of the process (MCAT scores, biology/chemistry/physiology prereqs), and I know money is a huge factor, too. I don't have a strong background in any of the biological sciences, and my grades have fluctuated with my employment (I'm a starving student who has to work for a living) so my transcripts are less than stellar. Is becoming a surgeon just a pipe dream, or could it be attainable (if I got the MCAT scores and found a sugar mamma, of course)?

I want to become a business major with a concentration in Finance but everyone keeps advising me not to. I know a few people that graduated with Business degrees and they wish that they had changed their majors. I was told that it was hard to find a job or the jobs were low paying. SO, is it a bad idea to major in Business?

I graduate with a BA international Business and GPA of 3.06
It(GPA) has to be 3.50 at least?

I have taken some calculas and chemistry courses with many Cs and aB and that was a factors that lowered my GPA.
I take them again (try to ace all them) and my GPA might increase to 3.50, right?
Or.....my GPA is below 3.50, and they will accept me in with all As in prereq courses?

Prerequisites are 8 credits of organic chemistry with lab,
two semesters of general/inorganic chemistry, and two or more semesters of advanced biology.

Besides, do they include Physics, calculas? how many
semesters of them? what elses are they?

A lot of community and hospital volunteer work is required?

Maybe it is just too late to do this.....
