Mom---I really don't get it??? If she is in complete mood of arguement and does not want to listen. May be you can convince her to be more respectful when you tell her she is buying her own degree. Then listen to the brat whine. MOM, I know it sounds nasty--she is 18 and no longer your responsibility. Cut the strings. If there is a curfew--tough noogies.. Eight out of 10 students merrily spend mom and dad money without regard that they are failing. If precious does not have As and Bs all thru high school. Fraid your gona waste some big bucks on fun, good times. boyfriends and drugs. Some people say, "thats the education process." Those that have a bank full of money.
Great let the daughter pay for the fun and that education. It is a big drunken party. When they get caught they want you to pay the fine and bail them out of jail. I say tough noogies.. What about Community College as a test run before ya spend the Big Bucks. If she will not go to CC then Big T is out of the question.

Is there some reason that you are not calling the university in regards to this? It would be my opinion that there is no curfew at a state university. I went to a state college more than 20 years ago and there was no curfew then. What makes you think there would be?

She hasn't been misinformed most likely. Most colleges don't have curfews these days. I'm going to a religiously affiliated private college and even it has no curfews for the campus or the dorms. The only restrictions are for how late members of the opposite sex may stay in the dorms (they have to leave by midnight during the week).

Let go, Mom.

You will not get acurate information about this on Yahoo.

Pick up the phone and call the campus. They will tell you exactly what the situation is.

I doubt if there are any curfews. An 18 year old is an adult woman. She can go where she wants and do what she wants. As parents, we just have to get used to the idea that our kids are now grown up.

You may want there to be but there aren't any university curfew policies.

She will be considered an adult and able to set her own curfew.

I know of no large, non-religious universities that have curfews. It is just not realistic in this day and age.
