I'm signing up for classes soon and not sure what to take for prerequisites... I don't know where to get the info for what to take etc. I'm going to a junior college for 2 years (starting this fall) and then transferring to either University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) or University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB). I can't find info on their websites for what classes I need. Was any one a pharmacist? I need help!!!

I was told that if I have a masters of education I will not get hired because employers do not wish to pay for a teacher with a Masters. Is this true?
I am getting a masters in Integrated science and a possible special education endorsement.

I go to a blue-ribbon high school that is known for it's unbelievably smart, rich students. But, because we have so many smart people in my class, being in the top 10% or even the top 25% is a huge stretch.
I have a 3.4 unweighted GPA and am in the top 50% of my class. I am a good student and try very hard to make As in all of my classes. I am a sophomore and am taking Pre-AP English II, Geometry, IPC (Integrated Physics and Chemistry), French II, and World History AP (the only AP course offered to sophomores).
I plan on taking AP English and Social Studies classes for the rest of high school and Pre-AP Math classes. I am also taking art for the next 2 years and graphic design and AP Art History senior year.
I love Brown and would do anything to get into their architecture department but I'm worried that because of my fairly low GPA and class rank, that I won't have any chance.
What do you think?

Question Details: Advice PLEASE on how do I tell an old boyfriend that he is probably the father of the child I had 34 years ago? I have never told him a thing and we have just made contact again after all those years. I am 52 now and know it should be out in the open but since it involves another fellow I dont know what to do or say here. Solid and sensitive advice appreciated.

I'm trying to be compromising here with my dad but he won't budge. I want to move out and live out my college life however he insists that I stay at home but I feel conflicted since I'm worried about getting into debt but also feel that living on my own will make me more academically productive. If I live at home I would have to tolerate my mom's crazy shoutings, my brother's pyschotic rants and the distracting environment, plus its usually cold here since we're not allowed to turn on the heater. As you can imagine, its hard to study or do homework here. If I live at college, I wouldn't have to deal with those issues and just arrange my own living schedule.

What I'm asking here is for some suggestions. I know that I'll get further into debt and my dad is pressing for me to stay. I've calculated all of my 5 year expenses and I've averaged out to about $117,000. What kind of a loan plan should I apply for? What are the options do you think I have left?

HI, I'm trying to major in computer science and thinking of doing something in the 3-d animation graphics arts or programming department.

I want to go to U.C. Davis really bad for this major, but the IGETC doesn't recommend this University.

I've researched a bit in assist.org and found out that
U.C. Irvine and San Diego are recomended by the IGETC plan..

But also a bunch of State Universities recommend Computer science as well, such as SF State, SJ State, LA state, Long Beach and plenty more I bet..

And so I've concluded that State Universities have more opportunities for my major than UC in California.. Although I still want to go to a Uc though.. But for the Computer Science majors attending a CA university, which university do your recommend and why?

thanks (:

Honor(TAP) certified
GPA: 3.94
'Worked 20 hours throughout the week'
'Internship at a hospital'

And with this, I have one withdrawal from one class. Do I have a chance to transfer, Oh! and my major that I chose is Chemical Engineering.

Do I have a good chance to transfer to UCLA? Its my dream school!
