I will be looking for lodging starting next school year at the University of Bath. I will be living with my boyfriend who will not be a student. We prefer to share a house with other students.
Any ideas?

I am attending either University's of Chicago's College or Cornell's College of Arts and Sciences next year, and I don't know which one to attend.

I want to double major in art history and economics, and although, at the undergrad level programs aren't ranked, the undergraduate econ program at U Chicago is renowned because of the prestige of it's graduate and doctoral programs. However, I'm scared of the competitiveness of Chicago's econ program; 10% of undergrads major in econ, and as a result the university tries to weed out students. Chicago's program is also more quantitative Cornell's.

I also like that UChicago is in the city.

Cornell, however, has the ivy name (although it isn't one of the top tier ivies) and the economics major requirement is easier to meet there.

They both have comparable art history programs, but double majoring would be easier at Cornell because it doesn't have the consuming Core that Chicago has.

Any suggestions??

ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

Im a college student at California State University-Sacramento that is taking a class on Sex Crimes. I need to poll people on the following question:

What do you think should happen to REPEAT Sex Offenders?

Please limit response to 1-3 sentences and I also need your AGE.

So I can group answers according to age. It doesnt really matter how old you are, I would like to get a range of ages.

I know the question is vague, but Im not allowed to go into detail. So please if you can give me honest answers it would really help.

Thanks for your help.

PS If interested in my results I would be more than happy to email you my findings and what we are doing with the information.

I plan on going to the Univeristy of West Georgia in the fall because I can't afford to go to a private school; if I keep all A's for the first two years will prestigious schools like Berkley, UNC-Chapel HIll, Michigan-Ann Arbor, etc accept me... or do they only accept transfer students from other prestigous schools. I guess to sum it all up, does the school you go to greatly effect your chances of getting accepted as a transfer student to a prestigous school.

Hey, I am a freshman in a big state university and I am currently working on my transfer application to a more competitive college. However, I feel stuck about the manditory recomendation. All my classes are big lecture ones and the professors are inaccessiable (you know what goes in a state university), except one small class but the professor looks really rigorous (but she does praise me somehow as hard-working.....BTW, she is very very accessiable). So how should I ask recommendation from her. I don't even know how to start a conversation. Help! Thank you!

If so, was it worth it? I want to go back to school, but I just had a baby. I was thinking of going the online route to make things easier, but I am terrified that I will be wasting my time. Anyone have any experience in Online Schooling and if it worked out for you? Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Is the thickness of the envelope a sign of acceptance/denial?

I've heard that the small/thin envelopes mean rejection and the large thick envelopes mean acceptance? Is that really true? I hope not...! If so, thin envelopes will be my worst nightmare!
