An RN license can be achieved through a two year intense program at any Junior College that offers it. A BSN is a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing Degree and is a 4 year intense program at a 4 year college. You do not need to have the RN to start a BSN. You will achieve it anyway, it is half of a BSN. You can work as a nurse with an RN and get the rest of your BSN through online courses and clinicals. You will make more money with a BSN. Does that make sense?
