I am trying to narrow down my college list and I was wondering if anyone has an opinion on any of these colleges.

Arizona State University
Clemson University
Ohio University
Penn State University
University of Alabama
University of Arizona
University of Missouri

If anyone has attended any of these colleges, please let me know what you think of them. Thank you and Happy New Years.

Ok its like this, i was born in NY, Live in Boston Ma, Then Moved to NC. Here this place change my life. After Graduating i found my self wanting to college but I didn't have the Money. (LoNg Story short) I filled out FAfsa and recieved financial Aid. But now I tell always ask the next HS class what they are doin with their live and they say they don't know, then they use the option of the Service....Now some want to go but some think they have to go....Why do I have this feeling to tell everybody about college....and doing something positive with their lives. I Get tired of seeing my Brothers(Blacks) selling drugs and getting locked up, and also getting tired of my other Brothers from another mother(Whites Males) saying that education is not for them and they just gonna get a job....Its mad depressing what should I do to influence these people....IDK....

Like a TAAS or SAT or something..

I want to go to school for nursing but I have to take my prerequisites first which are:

Composition 1
Introduction to chemistry 1
Anatomy and Physiology 1 or
Humon Anatomy and Physiology 1
Introduction to Psychology

I'm a little out of the loop, I will be going back to school after 20 years and I've never been to college.

Hey, I was just wondering. Do you fill in your application form for which university you want to go to, BEFORE or AFTER you do your HSC? If it's before, do you do it before you graduate from high school?

Many thanks. :D

Currently enrolled in High School. I want to know what a semester is and how long is it. Most Medical School requires 2 Semesters of Physics, 2 Semesters of Biology, 2 Semesters of Organic Chemistry(With Labs), 2 Semesters of Inorganic Chemistry(With Labs) and 1 semester of Calculus, is it possible to do all that in four years? How do you fit all this in four years? What does (With Labs) mean?

I am 26 years old and still living with my parents at home. I messed up in my life and dropped out of college so many times, yet I am back in college again. I told my parents today that I am planning on transfering to a new out of state university by next year, probably by the Fall or Winter semester. My parents don't want me to go to an out of state university because they know I will go into debt, because I will have to pay for room and board and out of state tuition. I told them I am not happy at this current school, I am not happy where I live (state) and I definatly want to move out of my house already. The thing is that I know they are somewhat right but I want to try new things and try to become a responsible adult and not having to ask or tell my parents my plans or ideas. They are very strict but somewhat understanding. I really want to move to a new state and new university (where at least I can get a bachelor in what I really want) but my parents think I should wait longer, try to graduate(which will take me about 4 years because I took some courses in out of sequence) and then try to find a job in another state. Or should I just go with I have planned, get into debt, move to a new state/city/university and try to be happy? Any ideas, comments, points of view. Greatly appreciated.

If you go to university I wouldn't mind some people giving me their views about their experiences, problems and general uni stuff. I'm not asking for much. I'd just like to know what I might be getting myself into. Any advice also?

I'm nervous and excited at the same time; it's brilliant...
Thanks!

Five years ago John entered into a loan agreement to borrow $200,000, and repay the loan the loan over 20 years through equal monthly instalments. if the interest rate was fixed at 8% p.a. for the entire term of the loan, compute the value of the loan outstanding now: ---------------- a) $175,051; b) $173,500; $ 173,288

Yes, I know that "I'm too young" and need to attend college first, but I've been working on about 5-6 problems at a time in the Kaplan’s LSAT study guide. It takes me about six minutes to figure some problems out in the Reading Comprehension; they are no where near easy as the SAT problems. I’m slightly concerned about this, but know that I am still in high school and have time to improve. Does anyone know where I can find some good practice problems on the internet/ or give me some tips?

Thanks

I had very good grades during my first semester in college. However, math has always been one of my main weknesses. I had an A in political science, which is writing intensive course. I had an A- in english, an A- in medical terminolgy and a B in math. I had to take a basic math class because I didn't meet certain standars that were required by the college I go to. Next semeter I will be taking Math 105 because is pre-requisite for my major. I'm majoring in Radiology, I must maintain a competitive GPA to get accepted into the Radiologic technology program. I'm also gonna be taking Algebra along with English 111 and Anatomy. I think I can handle all of these subjects if I carefully organize my study time. Radiolgy is a growing field and it's highly in demand. i must maintain a good GPA or otherwise I will be placed on the waiting list. This process might take a year or more and I don't have time to kid around. I want to graduate as soon as possible. I go to a CUNY college in New York.

If the deadline for a university is January 1 does that mean we have to apply before january 1 (before 12:00 am on December 31) or can we still submit the application at like one in the afternoon on january 1st (before 12:am Jan 1)

*simpler terms- before the deadline or can it still be submitted the day it's due?

I bought a textbook through a vendor online and found out after recieving it that it was an examination copy. It's so tiny and I'm not even sure if it had all the necessary information. Can I still be able to use this through my course or do I have to purchase another book? I spent a fair amount on this book and felt like I was scam.....

I have one semester (spring 2008) left before I graduate with a BA in engineering. I haven't found a job yet, mostly because I'm trying to enter the finance industry and it's completely new to me. Is it a good idea to search for an internship for the summer after I graduate, and work hard to get a full time offer for the fall? OR should I just focus on trying to find a full time position? I'd like JP Morgan for trading... It just seems like the finance industry's full time recruiting has already happened.

I am in my senior year at high school and applied for health sciences (bsc stream) at a university. I am confused..I thought health sciences was a faculty? It is isn't it ? I emailed the university to let them know that i want health sciences (bsc) or psychology (bsc) and the lady replied by saying both are in the faculty of sciences. so does that mean that the faculty of health science only gives out BA degrees? the requirements for entering the faculty health sciences is math 12...but i'm confused why would you need math 12 to get a BA degree. i understand that bsc means all sciences but then why is there a separate faculty for health sciences called faculty of health sciences....the lady said that both health sciences (bsc) and psychology (bsc) are under the faculty of sciences. then why isn't it listed on the website? under the faculty of sciences there are other programs such as biochemistry and such.

I don't have a very high GMAT score or undergrad GPA, so my options are limited(but I can get a second bachelors degree). I have read different things about Keller, but my question specifically pertains to becoming a C.P.A. I don't know how concerned I should be about finding a job with a degree from Keller. I figure CPA's are highly in demand, so I should be fine when I pass the CPA exam. I will have minimal, if any accounting experience when I graduate, so I expect to start at an entry level accounting position. I wonder if an employer would prefer I have a 2nd undergrad in accounting from a state university, or a Masters from Keller, or if they are both just as good, as long as I pass the CPA exam. I am hoping passing the CPA is what really counts. Keller's connection with Becker sounds excellent - I know many students use Becker to prepare for the CPA exam, and at Keller the Becker courses are built into the curriculum. I appreciate any information. Thanks

I have a kid who has U-Maine at the very top of the list right now. As far as I can tell, it's based on wanting to live in Maine and loving winter...before we take a long, long road trip, it would be great to hear from anyone with up-close and personal knowledge of the school. Do you like it? Good education? Good job placement? Safe? Scholarships - particularly to help offset the out-of-state premium? My kid has about a 3.6-3.7 GPA and 1250 SATs, with good activites and recommendations (interested in nursing).

Well Colgate University sent me a letter, it is from the DEAN OF ADMISSIONS and it says thank you for applying etc, then it says they hope I will visit, even though it is 4 hours up North, and then it is signed by the Dean Of Admissions himself, not a computer generated signature, then next to it he wrote thank you for exploring colgate William! This letter was inside a thick brochure they sent me, just as a side note.

Does this mean something important, such as acceptance??!!??! I was pretty happy that I got this, please dont burst my bubble guys!!! But do tell me what you think !!!!
