(LoNg Story short) I filled out FAfsa and recieved financial Aid. But now I tell always ask the next HS class what they are doin with their live and they say they don't know, then they use the option of the Service....Now some want to go but some think they have to go....Why do I have this feeling to tell everybody about college....and doing something positive with their lives. I Get tired of seeing my Brothers(Blacks) selling drugs and getting locked up, and also getting tired of my other Brothers from another mother(Whites Males) saying that education is not for them and they just gonna get a job....Its mad depressing what should I do to influence these people....IDK....

You want to tell them because you know it's the right thing to do. They need an education. It's way to easy to follow the crowd and get involved in drugs. Use yourself and your success as an example, these kids know what is right. They just need someone to tell them they CAN DO IT, and they SHOULD DO IT. They need someone to tell them that they can fill out a form and GET THE MONEY, so that's not a good excuse.

Talk to them younger, in elementary, middle, or early high school. This kids need to understand that graduating high school is NOT THE END. It's not even enough anymore. They need someone to show them that they can and should set their goals higher.

Thanks for your concern and caring, and good luck to you.

Be the example of what you want for them. If they see that you can do it, maybe they will think it is possible for them too.
