I am in my senior year at high school and applied for health sciences (bsc stream) at a university. I am confused..I thought health sciences was a faculty? It is isn't it ? I emailed the university to let them know that i want health sciences (bsc) or psychology (bsc) and the lady replied by saying both are in the faculty of sciences. so does that mean that the faculty of health science only gives out BA degrees? the requirements for entering the faculty health sciences is math 12...but i'm confused why would you need math 12 to get a BA degree. i understand that bsc means all sciences but then why is there a separate faculty for health sciences called faculty of health sciences....the lady said that both health sciences (bsc) and psychology (bsc) are under the faculty of sciences. then why isn't it listed on the website? under the faculty of sciences there are other programs such as biochemistry and such.

It would help us if you would tell us which university you were referring to. It sounds like at this particular university, there is NOT a separate for health sciences, but that they are part of the overall faculty of sciences. This doesn't have any bearing on what kind of degrees they confer; they could offer doctorates, and still be a part of a larger faculty. This is a matter of organization.

Health sciences can be a faculty, and they can also offer a bachelor of science in health sciences degree. The faculty of health sciences can give out both BSc or BA ... it just depends what programs are offered at that university. You said you applied for health sciences (BSc stream) so therefore you would need a math credit.
What University are you applying too ... and what do you want to do for a career with your degree? Some universities offer a bachelor of science in pyschology and a bachelor of art in psychology ... which one do you want?
