25 yo. I have been in college for a total of 7 years. I have a Bachelors and Master's degree in and 50K in student loan debt, but I am just now realizing what it is that I want to do with myself. I am willing to go back to school to obtain a 2nd Master's degree--this time with some work experience to back up what I want to do. I am working and going to school part-time, but I feel like such a failure. I will have been in college for almost 10 years by the time I finish. I just feel like its such a waste and that I didn't use my time wisely. I just don't want to spend the rest of my life working in a field that I dont want or have to return to school when I'm older with kids and all. Can anyone offer any support or advice?

I'm currently in 10th grade and I need to start planning ahead. My GPA is higher than 3.75 currently but I know GPA isn't that important. I'm not really active at school, maybe I go to a club once every week. I don't know what I'm going to do. I have served my community by doing community service. I also heard they look for leadership skills, so where can I get that appeal from? What else do I need to go to a good college? I'm looking to get into a good school. What should I do in order to get a full scholarship?

There are millions of students applying to a university each year, that makes it millions of personal essay. If someone were to copy the exact personal statement what are the chances of them being caught. Let's say I've a friend who applied to UC Berkeley but he didn't apply to UW, technically UW won't be able to see what UC received, if I were to send this essay to UW. Would UW know?.

Assuming both the university asks the same topic essay.

I applied for the scholarship deadline on Dec.10th but I haven't sent in my AP scores yet. Everything else is already done (SAT, ACT, SATII etc). Is it too late to send it in?

if someone got bad in their sat, (even though they retook it) , but they have a gpa above 4, and they have so many awards and extra curriculars, do you think harvard will accept them?

my sister wants to get in, but her sat scores arent that good, i mean she didnt fail or anythingbut they are average. however, she did get a perfect score in the math sat 2, and she got a mark above average for french 2, but her physics mark was... normal.. :P lol

anyways my parents were really pissed esp my dad cuz they paid so much money to buy her all these sat books and to take her to french class and all that, and at the end she didnt study that much. so now my dad is kinda pissed and hes like ur sat scores are crap u think harvard will look at those? but yeah, i feel like shes not studying to prove something to them, but yeah, back to my question.
what do you think?
i knowur not harvard, but i was just wondering if anyone out their got bad sat scores and got accepted there

thanks :)

I was given a dell inspiron 1501 as a gift from a close friend in August and I'll be graduating from HS in a few months. I'm being told that I should have a desktop too for "safe purposes". EX: the laptop stops working. However, it seems to me that having two computers is just too much.
What I was thinking was just purchasing an external hard drive (the internal hard drive is only 60 GB and almost full) and more RAM.
Does this seem like a sensible option? Should I just buy a desktop?
I have no idea what to do!

I am at a very confusing point in my life. I'm not a kid, but not an adult. I'm in college now; I'm in my second year towards a bachelors degree. Basically, I'm just wondering what sequence of events happened for you after college, and where are you at now? I'm sure answering this will not only help me, but the many many other people on here like me.

In other words- What is a good amount to start out with when I'm ready to get out on my own.
I suppose you could say "The more the merrier", but I want to hear from those that have "been there done that"- like, have graduated from college and have learned first hand just how much they should have saved.

Thanks people!

Ok so on my university of Kentucky application it's asking if I have won any awards and i haven't yet though. I have over 300 community service hours and at the end of the year i'm sure i am going to receive a silver cord which is an award that is given to students with more then 250 hours. So is it ok if i put silver cord as an award even though i haven't received it yet or no?
