Ok so on my university of Kentucky application it's asking if I have won any awards and i haven't yet though. I have over 300 community service hours and at the end of the year i'm sure i am going to receive a silver cord which is an award that is given to students with more then 250 hours. So is it ok if i put silver cord as an award even though i haven't received it yet or no?

No you can not. If you put that on the alp. and the University finds out that can reject you application, or even kick you out of school if you do get accected. It is not a good idea to put false info because it can get you in legal troble. I would just put the hours that you have and that you should be getting an award for your work.

No, you cannot say you have something until you have been awarded that. If you have been officially nominated for an award, you can say that you were nominated for it (but not that you got it), but you can't claim things until they have officially been given.

I wouldn't do it. You could put that you are a candidate for the reward but since you haven't received it yet it could be considered misrepresenting yourself if you list it.

no, not really but you can note your hours and how they may give you an award later on
