It really depends on the college.

Much different. It is so different that almost 1/2 of all incoming freshmen dont make it past the 1st year because of a variety of reasons such as; culture shock(realizing they are out on their own for the 1st time), inability to keep up with the higher pace of learning(a teacher that has 30 pupils is much different than a professor with 300), the fact that you have to pay for classes(and of course you dont want to waste your hard earned cash now, would you?), but mostly because of the party atmosphere.

However, dont let this scare you. Those were some of the best times of my life. I actually felt like an adult getting to make all of the decisions concerning myself, I made some great friends and connections while there, and the girls were unbelieveable!!! I am talking imagine the hottest girl at your HS and picture her being 10x hotter. And dont get me wrong I was late for a number of tests due to overindulgence the night before.

The key to college, if I can give you one, is finding a balance between your school work, social life, and your job(it isnt cheap man). If you are able to juggle multiple things being on your plate at 1 time, so to speak, you should be just fine.

I hear that some community colleges are very much like high school, but most other colleges are rather different, since the students aren't living at home with their parents.

classes and maturity are about the same. freedom to speak within class is much better. Other than that not much difference. I was mostly excited bc if i wanted to walk out of a class I COULD! without getting my *** chewed! best difference in the world if you ask me!

there is a wider gap in ages so more perspectives on subjects. Hearing from tht old and young very intersting variety. But mainly in college you are on your own->own decisions and nobody forcing you do anything.
