What should one major in while in college as an undergraduate? I've heard that one can major in just about anything because medical schools are looking for well-rounded individuals. The person I am asking for has 8 years of experience as a Nuclear Electrician in the Navy and is majoring in Business Administration w/ a concentration in accounting. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Last semester I took an awesome history class that I really enjoyed. that class was required as one of the humanities courses we had to take to transfer/graduate. anyways I want to take the continuation course for that class but I don't know if i should get a grade (i got an A last time) or go for credit/nocredit since its not required that i take 2 American History classes...

does it look bad on your transcript if you do credit/no credit? or do other colleges just not care?

Thanks in advance :)

I am currently a senior in high school.

I intend to become a Marketing Manager, but I don't know which school would offer the better courses and have the better reputation.
(For undergraduate, of course.)

UC's:
Berkeley -
Davis -
Irvine -
Los Angeles -
Merced -
Riverside -
San Diego -
San Francisco -
Santa Barbara -
Santa Cruz -

[For example, San Francisco's main major(s) is what? Medicine basically?]

I did my Bachelor of Commerce at Melbourne University. I am an Australian chartered accountant with 30 years of experience. Currently I am a trainer and motivator in multinational companies. In order to add more weight to my training profession I want to pursue a Distance Learning Masters in Psychology in an Ivy League University

I do not know what i want to do with my life, and i'm a junior in college. I currently a biology major with a concentration in Secondary Education, but I'm leaning towards not doing that anymore. I'm not longer motivated to go to class, and it just all seems like a waste of time. I dont really know many people here, and my roomate just informed me he's withdrawing from his classes and is not returning. I feel bummed out and i really just wanna be home, and even work so i can save up some money. What are some good ways to ease my g/fs stance on me staying.

I'm looking to earna double major in Business (or Economics, not sure which) and International Relations (most likely with an emphasis on business) and a minor in Pre-Law, and from there go to law school and earn a law degree. I'll also be taking Japanese classe - although not as part of my major more because the culuture and language is interesting - so I'll be perhaps conversational, just not on a paper saying I am. After these years in college I was thinking of becoming a corporate lawyer, which is where large emphasis on business pays off.

However, I'm just wondering what other careers I might be able to get into with these credentials, as I'm trying ot be open minded and see all the options there are out there. Thank you for any input.

i have an iq around 134
i failed my exam and lab in marine biology
i studied about 2~3 times from the start of the course until the exam, but i woke up early and studied 2~3 hours right before the exam
i went over almost all the notes for this part given by the course
i felt that the studying wasn't very deep and even the answers i wrote were disguise-like
im really good at understanding the concepts of human biology and really enjoy it
i definately found human biology more interesting and very easy to learn
is marine biology supposed to be really hard because i got 44% in it whereas the average was from the 50-70% or something
this is my first year in university i did a lot of exams
3 courses im 20% above average
1 course is 1% less than average
but for marine biology i got basically 15% lower than the average
i find everything else easy except for this which is f***ing me up
what's goin on??????
