American Military University teaches entirely online and anyone can attend. This is just an example of one college I know of with highly placed alumni. There are other examples.

The important thing to do is make sure you get your degree from a school with a good reputation (whether online or classroom) and to attend the best school you possibly can. If that's Harvard or Oxford then so be it - if that's East YourState U. then so be it.

A side note: try an online class at a good school before you commit to a program - if your life is too hectic to go to the classroom, online isn't going to ease that issue. Online classes are time consuming and difficult. The advantage is not ease or time but location convenience.
