I am in my 3rd year of college right now - business major...I have a 3.3, mostly A's and B's, and 2 C's...BUT I think I'm going to fail one of my classes this quarter and it's making me really depressed...the class is just really tough to me for some reason...I study hard but I still can't seem to do well on the tests...has anyone ever failed a college course? what did you do?

I am currently a Senior and wanted to know what options I have for college. I have struggled in high school do to some personal reasons and I have a 2.5/4.0 GPA with a 1790 SAT score. I have taken some AP classes and I plan to take the SAT again.

Can I still attend a good 4-year university, if so do you know of some that I can apply and get into? BTW, I live in Texas and would like to stay in-state.

Thanks

Going to college to be a lawyer, doctor or scientist is fine, but just to be an accountant plus going to college can be somewhere in the 5 digits just to go for one year

I am looking to double major at a UC or CSU in film and Chinese {or film and Asian studies or film and Japanese}.

Yet, I'm finding difficulty figuring how it will complement my film degree, as I've alway wanted to learn a language and I've became interested in the language since there is a big Chinese-American population at the community college I am attending in the Bay Area...

Any ideas?

My prof gaves us a hand out and did not explain it... so I'm confused. Here's what it says: Take a walk through your neighborhood and take photographs for a photo essay that will accurately describe your neighborhood for outsiders. Then visit a place (park) and take careful field notes of who you find in that place and detailed descriptions of what peopl are doing. Write a 2-3 page ethnography about your neighborhood, giving a thick description from your field notes and photographs.

By Thick Description I believe he's reffering to the CLIFFORD Geertz essay?

HERE IT IS IF U CARE TO SEE IT:http://www.iwp.uni-linz.ac.at/lxe/sektktf/gg/GeertzTexts/Thick_Description.htm

What exactly is written in an ethnography & how should I write THIS? HELP!! THNX

Hello,

I'm curious, if I take any honors class (I am not talking about AP courses) meaning... If i take "Honors Algebra" or "Honors Physics" do colleges really care? Would taking "Normal Algebra" or "Normal Physics" be the same in a college's eye?

Example:

...........Student A:............Grades

.........Honors Math:..............A
......Honors Biology: ............A
.....Honors History:...............A
......Honors English:.............A

..Student B: ..Grades

.........Math..........A
.........Biology......A
.........History:......A
.........English:.....A
Would "Student A" or "Student B" have an easier chance of getting into a decent college?

I want to get my masters, and may even Phd in Psychology, and I am in my 2nd year of community college right now, but I am not sure if I need to get my associates or not?

Also, if I do need to get my associates, do I need an Associates in Arts or an Associates in General Studies with a Major in Psych?

Should I just take a bunch of classes here before I transfer to a university, since they are cheaper, and just make sure they will transfer???

I am applying to colleges in the US right now and I have heard mixed answers so I was hoping you could clear this up!

I am a dual citizen (US and UK) applying from a boarding school in England. I have not been to school in the US since 5th grade. I have houses in both countries, so can put any of them as my permanent address.

So my question is am I an international student and do I want to apply as one if I am?

Do recommendations really matter for business school admission? Does a recommendation from a board of trustee member or someone who donates a great deal of money go a long way?

I'm curious.. Hoping some of you may have worked in admissions.
