Which would be best for me, if I'm interested in politics, possibly going to law school, and $$ is not an issue.

As a GW alumna, I've got to rec GW. It's a really great school with excellent, respected, brilliant and often eccentric staff. GW has awesome internship programs all over DC, MD, and VA. The academic programs, especially the Writing in the Disciplines program and the concentrations International Affairs majors get from the Elliott School are tops. Everyone at GW is interested in politics and current issues so it's a great environment to study politics in. Since money isn't an issue and that's the only downside to GW in my book, I think the only reason you might avoid GW is if you're a social conservative (it's a pretty liberal school in terms of social policy though economic policy is more widely varied).

I knew someone who went to Yale Law and its a great school and all but the area is crap. I also knew someone who went to George Washington Law and well DC is the political hot spot and most of the firms hire from the top schools there.

The obvious answer is Yale, but when you say "best for me" that is harder to say. If you do not like going to Yale--for whatever reason-- then it is not right for you. On the other hand, you might fall in love with George Washington U. and really excel there. Good luck on your decision.

Well, if you go to Yale, the name recognition will beat out George Washington, even in DC.

Either school is a great choice.. I would pick Yale because of the reputation and alumni base
