right now i am a Jr in high school. My average GPA is a 2.0. I am a member of SADD, Link Crew(its a leadershipe role model group that only the best of the best can be chosen for lol its by the teachers, its ment to help with the new freshmens coming into high school) and Service club. I work 15 hours every week at my job, and I try to help out at school and the community functions the best i can when i have the time. Will my GPA really bring me down? everything else is what they are looking for, I am a hard worker, i am motivated and love people, when i want something and really focus on it i can doa really good job. I want to be a health teacher. I am terrible at math and i tend to procrainate which explains my GPA being terrible. If i had a great Essay and recamondations will i get a good chance of going to SUNY Cortland?

I got my undergraduate degree from a not well known and not very good university (Ohio Northern - I am sure you have never heard of it). Although I could have gone to several very very good schools for very little cost, my parents made me go there because they went there. I felt that the presence of it's name on my resume was worse than not including it, but is there anyway around that for application to a consulting firm? I am including a masters/phd from UCLA.

I recently sent my May 2006 SAT scores to 4 colleges and payed the 9.50 per college fee (all done on Collegeboard.com). I took the SATs again this October and got a higher score, which I did not expect. However, I already sent my first set of scores and don't want to pay to re-send my recent, better scores. Do the scores you sent to the schools get updated after you've re-taken the SATs or do they only send the initial scores? Thanks.

So, i got some of my general classes done that I needed to take. I then became pregnant and was not able to go back last semester. I am going back in Januarry but I am unsure on what to do. Having a newborn is hard work but school is important. It just dont come easy to me. Ivy Tech Community College is where i attend. Thet have both LPN & RN degrees that are offered. I am unsure if I should do the LPN and then do the transition into RN or should I just go straight thru to the RN program? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Also, i looked into Medical Assistant. Any feedback on that would be great! Thanks alot!!

I am planning on going to school to do something with animals, but wnat to know what the best paying job (besides a V.M.D., of course) for an animal care worker is. If there is an easier way to become a V.M.D i might consider it, but right now I just want school to get a degree that could help pay for Vet school if i ever decide to go. It's not really about the money, I lover animals, but it would be nice to have a well paying job too.

Whats the rationale? Do they think you won't eat unless forced to (the money you pay at the beginning of the year is a sunk cost, so it makes the meals you get effectively free, although you're still out $3,000 or so for th year)

Is it nothing more than a hidden tuition increase?

I did the math and my meal plan comes out to about $8/meal. This is ridiculous. You can eat out and get better quality food for less than $8.
