Yes, it is a hard course compared to others, but it has the advantage that if you grasp the concept then working out problems can be made easier as it all falls together logically... you don't have to memorize things like some other non-technical degrees.

It's interesting, challenging and a lot of hard work.

I studied it because it incorporated all the subjects I was interested in, and in hindsight it was a good choice. Chem Eng has a very wide feild of application one you have graduated - design, operations, R&D, project management etc

I've been a Chemical Engineer for 10 years and I love my job.

I have a friend with a Chemical Engineering degree.... His HS Chemistry teacher is who inspired him to study for that degree...

I would say yes it is probably very challenging...
