Do you need to? No. Does that end up happening sometimes? yes. Many jobs today require thier employees to have degrees. I saw an ad for 'Furniture Delivery driver' must have two year degree. I have known alot of people in every aspect of this industry, very few had degrees, none of which were drivers.

Yes, you need to finish high school, yes, you need to go to college. You wanna work at Pizza Hut? Good, stay in college, have a major and a minor in Business Mangement and maybe Psychology. Use this degree to help advance your self in the company. You could end up being their director of marketing or District manger of locations in Southeast USA or something. Probably pays over a 100k a year. Get your degree and buy a PENTHOUSE apartment. Good luck

I'm sure Pizza Hut is pleased to hear that. Here, though, working at Pizza Hut would not earn you enough to be able to get an apartment on your own, so I hope that you are prepared to live in your apartment along with six or seven other Pizza Hut employees. Also, there is no guarantee that Pizza Hut as a company will survive throughout the rest of your life, so you need a contingency plan in case there is no more Pizza Hut. Also, although I'm sure you are an exemplary Pizza Hut employee (you are already employed by Pizza Hut, aren't you? If not, what if they don't hire you?), there is always the chance that a manager with a grudge against slackers could fire you. What then?

I was in your position once. I'd have to say people put too great an importance on going to school. That is only relative to your goals in life. So let me make it simple for you. Finish High School because the government is paying for it. Trust me you don't want to end up paying for your High School Diploma when you could have gotten it for free.
College is expensive and if you are going to go to College you better have a plan. Otherwise you're just throwing your money away.
If your goal in life is to work at a Pizza Hut there is nothing wrong with that. I work at a Supermarket and I have no plans to work anywhere else. With the way the job market is these days it's laughable that I found job security at a place that requires only a High School Diploma.
Three more years of High School is not going to kill you. To pass the time get involved in some after school activity. Maybe in three years you might have a different out look on life.

Depends on what you want to do at Pizza Hut...

If you want to serve pizza forever, then no you don't need to finish high school or go to college. If you want to own a Pizza Hut one day, then a college degree in Business will REALLY come in handy.

Either way, finish high school and go to college. If you come to find 15 years from now that Pizza Hut is not your life calling and you haven't got a good education under your belt, you may find yourself screwed.

No

But the college education might get you the job of Manager or even District Manager which is higher pay and in the case of some District Managers a free company car.

Pizza Hut pays $7.50 an hour. No tips as a general rule. Drivers use their own cars they get tips.

Apartments cost $500-$600 minimum per month, a car costs $300-$400 a month if you own it, if you don't add $200 to that cost.

Now do the math.

I can ball park it. Minimum to SURVIVE in the world $14 an hour.

Managers pay $17 an hour to start.

You might want to rethink you plan if you ever plan on doing the following: getting married, having children, traveling, going on vacation, or saving for retirement. Working a Pizza Hut may pay the bills now, but in the long run you won't be able to do much.

Probably not unless you planned on owning a Pizza Hut someday. It would not hurt to continue your education in Business Management or something similar.

If all you want to do is go to that college, go ahead! If you might want to go to a different college in the future, i suggest finishing high school. Remember though, if you do decide to drop out, you can always fill in a year, learn the material with the home schooling technique. You're not closing up the world of opportunities by going to college. But it may get harder to finish high school later.

I suppose you could. I've met many people over the years who did just that.
I suggest when you decide to get married, HE needs to have his four year degree.
Most of the women in my city who are high school drop outs married a guy in the same boat. They are the first to tell you it was a big mistake.
Some luckier ones married a college grad. Their lives, and their kids' lives, are noticeably better.
In the long run, I've seen college educated women who married poorly end up with worse lives than high school drop out women who married well.
So tell me, what is your boyfriend's education level?
