Not while you are not a student, but you would be welcome to rush once you returned to school.

It really depends on the campus and what your situation is like. If you are keeping the baby and raising it alone, I have a hard time believing you'd have time to be a mother, go to school with a full credit load AND be involved in a sorority. Add working to that, and you'll be lucky to have time to breathe, let alone attend weekly new member class meetings, weekly chapter meetings, plus community service and social events. What about child care? Spending time with your child? Studying? You need to look at the bigger picture.

If students like you are more the norm on your campus, your chances would be better than most that you would have a successful outcome during sorority recruitment. If you are on a more traditional residential campus with a competitive recruitment, I'd say your chances at a successful outcome are low to none.

if you're not a student you cannot belong in "student" organizations. However, when you do return to school they aren't going to banish you cuz you had a baby. Try again at next application time.

Just pay the matriculation fee and the university will let you be a "student" (i.e. not enrolled in any classes) for as long as you want, yes?
