* Pharmacist is an excellent choice. But don't take it on if your intent is to do less work. The program is long and arduous. You come out with a doctorate - PharmD.
Other choices that give you the opportunity to help people are Nurse Practitioner, Physicians' Assistant, Priest.

I think if you want to be a pharmacist, that is great. Have you ever watched pharmacists at work? Whenever I go to the pharmacist, the people working there don't look very happy. You should see if you can interview a pharmacist sometime.

becoming a pharmacist is a great career choice. There are just too many advantages to becoming one such as:
1) salary starting out at least 100k
2) flexible working schedule
3) great job environment
4) you will be assured of a job literally anywhere in the US

Nursing is an excellent program. Some Registered Nurses (RNs) are very highly paid as well. There are programs called a "traveling nurse," that can be both well-paid and fun.
Another job is a nurse with further training, a Nurse Practicioner, that is about half-way between a nurse, and a doctor. That nurse gets to prescribe medicines, while others don't.
Go to http://www.pacific.edu -the website for the University of the Pacific, one of the best pharmacy schools in the country.

While it would take you 8 years to complete a medical degree, a pharmacy degree will take about 6 years. But it's still a hard, competative program, so keep that in mind. If that's too long, maybe consider a nurse or physician's assistant program instead.
