First understand what the present of AI is. Too many people think that AI is research toward something still in the future. But its actually done all the time. Its in language recognition, auto-pilots for planes, automated factories, installation softwares, railroad signalling, the roomba vacuem cleaner, even stop lights and vending machines. As more and more items become computerized and "user friendly" it will be needed for the smart refridgerators, and smart microwave, and voice control for cars.

Dont worry. There is a market for AI. You might not get to work on human-like robotics but there will be something.
