My grades have fallen due to family and psychological problems. (I feel as if im suffering from depression) I have been homeless several times and my parents have pretty much divorced.(not final) I have not seen my mom in what seems like forever and i have been troubled by internal conflicts in my family.

(I am a freshman in all honors classes) Last semester i was able to manage a 3.8 but this semester as things have worsened, my grades have plummeted. My math teacher has put me into a course that is below my ability(intermediate alg 2 when i can manage honors alg 2) because of my low grades. Im under a lot of pressure because i have siblings in two ivy league schools and i have cracked under the pressure beacuse of my situation. What can i do to improve grades and get into honors math next year and revive my college dreams? Please Help!! Thank you

I am doing literary discussion on a book Farewell to Manzanar. Here's what it says to do.

*Search the internet for information on the Manzanar Internment Camp. Write a one page typed paper on your findings and include a brief description on your feelings towards this historical sight. On a separate page, include a bibliography of where you obtained your facts.

what does it reveal about her? below is the poem, thank you for your help, I really appreciate it.

Here comes another alpha male,
and all the other alphas
are snorting and pawing,
kicking up puffs of acrid dust

while the silly little hens
clatter back and forth
on quivering claws and raise
a titter about the fuss.

Here comes another alpha male-
a man's man, a dealmaker,
holds tanks of liquor,
charms them pantsless at lunch:

I never been sicker.
Do I have to stare into his eyes
and sympathize ? If I want my job
I do. Well I think I'm through

with the working world,
through with warming eggs
and being Zenlike in my detachment
from all things Ego.

I'd like to go
somewhere else entirely,
and I don't mean
Europe.

This is a serious bummer! I work hard, I try my best, and all colleges I apply to, I fail! I mean the only consolation is that a lot of people with a higher GPA then me have fallen well. Sad but true. I got rejected from all the UCLA, UCSD, UCSB, even UC Davis which was a sho in. What the hec am I going to do? I had been thinking of community college before, but now I can't believe I actually have to consider it now. If I go to community college, can I still become a doctor? I am really honestly freaking out rite now. My dreams just seem to get shattered, and then when I think it's done, another guy comes and steps on it even more. What can I do? HELP I NEED SOMEBODY, HELP NOT JUST ANYBODY, HELP, I NEED SOMEONE HELP!!!! please:(

Many colleges face alcoholic and social issues and from what I have heard at my school part of the problem is that the freshmen students are thrown into the greek life before they understand the history and values of the school. I am in somewhat of a position to voice this concern and was wondering would banning first year students from greek life help. My quick answer is yes but I would like some ideas for and against taking on this task.

How do students at HBS not have a job? For God sakes! Isn't rent at HBS dorms around $2,000 a month? How do they pay for it?

If the company is sponsoring them, why would they let them not work for 2 years, and even pay their housing?

Hey everyone! I'm wondering if you can give me some input on the topic of Princeton. I have thoroughly researched it and determined it to be an excellent university (duh!) that I would be very interested in attending.

The problem is that, even with my unweighted 4.0, leadership roles in numerous clubs, 3 years as a varsity soccer starter, class rank 1 of 366, and participation in the hardest available classes at my high school (including at least 10 AP's), there is only a dismal chance that I will be admitted. Therefore, can anyone offer either a) tips to increase my chances of admission to Princeton (I have about 1 1/2 years to work with, since I am a sophomore), or b) a list of similar school to Princeton, especially in the Midwest (not necessarily in terms of flashiness, but rather regarding a strong intellectual community with awesome professors, financial aid, and overall atmosphere)?

Thanks a billion! ~
