San Jose is a very good, challenging university, but unlike what a previous poster said, it is very rare for someone to graduate in 4 years there.
And, let's be serious. College social life isn't the popularity contest that high school is. Even if you are the prettiest girl on campus, most people won't know who you are. So relax about that.

San Jose is far less impacted that San Diego State, so you will probably have an easier time getting the classes you want, and will likely graduate in 4 years at SJU. San Diego State is so impacted that students are spending 5-6 years trying to get the classes they need for a 4 year degree.
So if you're looking for a reason to pick one over the other, I'd say the extra time and money at SDSU should be considered.
If you're looking for a good education, either is excellent.
As for being beautiful - relax - just be friendly, kind, sincere, don't gossip and enjoy the other students. You'll be highly regarded no matter how tall, short, fat, thin or whatever you are! Good luck!

Oh hun, don't worry about being the most beautiful girl in college! There's cute girls everywhere, even San Jose, and I'm sure you could be one of them. :) That's a bad reason to not go to a good school.
San Diego is more fun and is a cooler campus. I've lived in both San Jose and San Diego in my life, and much prefer my life in San Diego. However, if San Jose State offers you some academic opportunity that is better than San Diego's (which I don't know without more details) then you should obviously do that one. Your education is most important!

The disadvantage with San Diego State is that you'll be laughed at by the UC San Diego and Univ. of San Diego students for going to one of the lowest state schools. This will also make it harder to get a job in the area. Therefore, San Jose would be your best choice.

San Jose State has a exceedingly first rate international organization software from what I even have heard. our college has some study out of the country classes that your daughter may be interested in. SJ is greater conventional for its technical majors tho inclusive of engineer, and MIS yet there ordinary organization software is exceedingly sturdy. I dont comprehend plenty approximately San Diego State yet i comprehend exceedingly plenty all UC and State college in CA all have credited organization classes so as that they are all sturdy.

SJSU Sucks! Don't go there! But if you do, join the CSU restoration movement there.
