A two year school is a great way to save money; you can always transfer later.

This is such a personal decision, it is impossible to render specific advice without knowing more.

Generally, though, if you have a history of being a good student and you are able to (somehow) pay for it, I say get into the best 4 year school you can get accepted to.

If you were a good student, but money is a big issue, then go to a community college and then transfer to the best universtiy you can get into in two years. You will still get a degree from that university, but you will miss out on two years of the universtiy experience, and those are the two years you are best able to find you niche, make friends, etc.

Don't get me wrong though, because of money/family issues, I went to CC and transferred, and still had a great university experience during my two years there.

If you don't have a history of being a good student, consider getting a good paying but hard job, and take some classes at night. Then, after a few years you might be ready to persue your education with more passion and interest, plus you should have also saved some money.

A four-year college grants you a bachelor degree, while a two-year college grants you an associate degree. Different careers require different degrees. Some may require a master's degree, or even a doctorate (these degrees take even longer). Two-year schools typically do offer cheaper tuition than four-year ones. And as mentioned, you can transfer from one to the other anytime (just make sure your credits transfer!). Good luck with your decision!

Depends on what you want and how much energy.

2 Year colleges are High School extensions

4 Year colleges are more serious

*sigh*

We're not mind readers. What do you want to do with your life? If you thought we could gather all the necessary information from that statement, don't bother going to college.
