In college your dealing with people that are mostly there because they want to better themselves, there are no real cliques you go to class and leave. I have never felt uncomfortable at college, I don't hang out, I just do what I need to and leave. It is much more relaxing, and as the teacher says you get out of it what you put into it, they don't care if you come to class or not, but don't be shocked if you fail, the teacher does not give pep talks and say ohhh your 3 points from failing that is totally up to you to approach the teacher about. Good Luck.

I hated high school because it seemed like a sanctuary for bullies. If the teachers and administrators knew bullies were attacking people like me they sure didn't give any indication of caring. In college, the bullies have been filtered out. They are off doing whatever stupid bullies do and the people who want an education are in college. Its a stimulating, exciting atmosphere. You make wonderful friends in college. Try for a structured living environment like a dorm or a co-op or even a fraternity or sorority and be sure and find out what the flunk out courses are so you can avoid them.

It really depends on the people you associate with. I'm a college junior, and I've had to deal with "high school" drama while in college. Just try to distance yourself from the dramatic types and make good friends who are at your maturity level.

If you're not involved in the greek system, you can easily choose who your friends are in college. If you don't like another student, you generally don't have to deal with them. There is usually a larger student-base, so you have the opportunity to meet a wider range of people unlike any you may have met before. It will be MUCH better than high school for you.

Yes. I completely agree. But I do go to a college with 48,000 students so it's hard for high school drama to exist.

The drama goes away for those who have grown up and decided to spend their time on other stuff like preparing for their careers. Unfortunately that does not happen to everyone. But you will be an adult and you do get to choose your friends.

Not necessarily. But the people are much more mature and there are many more social groups to fit into.

You don't have to deal with the scum like you had to in high school but there are still plenty of idiots to deal with in college. A lot more idiots that are full of themselves.
