This depends upon how many hours you need to work, but almost all of our full-time undergraduate students have part-time jobs. It would certainly be easier if they didn't have to do quite so much, but going to school part-time can take a very long time and there is a danger of losing motivation part way through.

I'd suggest going to school full-time. If necessary, do a part-time job (but not for too many hours each week; you will need time to study after all). I wouldn't say that most undergraduate (full time) students do work, like the person above me wrote.

If you can avoid it don't do a full-time job and college together because they'll always interfere with each other. Focus on your education and get a part-time job for money, it's easier and you can focus on what really matters :)

My advice is FT school and PT work. School is your #1 priority, so it deserves more of your time.....
